Northern Leasing Company conducts unethical, unlawful business practices and will steal money from you without your knowledge or permission New York New York

Unfortunately, my business start up was unsuccessful and is no longer in operation, I had to start paying monthly for the lease on the machine out of my contract job salary. Recently, I suffered losses during Hurricane Ike, and just lost my contract job the end of December with no severance pay. Even though this happened, I still kept paying them but got a little behind.

Well they started harassing me and sending tons of mail to my home, they started calling my elderly handicapped mothers home all day every day and on Sundays. Even though I explained my situation to them, and kept paying on the account, they kept calling and stalking me and my mothers home.
I just made two payments to them this month of January working to catch up the payments with the little money I had left from my last paycheck. I paid them and wrote checks to pay up my bills for the month.
In this same month, Northern Leasing resorted to putting charges on my credit card number that I had just paid them with, taking money out of my account without my knowledge or permission causing me to bounce checks and not be able to pay bills or have any money to get me through till my unemployment check comes in. My unemployment is at least another week and a half from now.
As of today I have no money in my account and have filed a dispute and trying to get out of the noncancellable death trap of deceit and greed from Northern Leasing.
The people at Northern Leasing do not operate with integrity, they exercise unlawful and unethical business practices and will harass you and rip you off.
I can understand them wanting their money and I was paying them their money inspite of my own hardship. I took responsibility for my ignorance in doing business with them. But even though I willingly called them to make payments with the little money that I had left from my last paycheck to work with, they decided to charge my personal card for the third time in one month to get more money which left me in the red.
They do not care about the consumer. They violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and took advantage of my new business start up. It is this kind of mentality that has America in the horrible economic condition it is in now. I would advise to not do any business with these people if you are new to the business world and do not have a strong cash flow already working for you and lawyer to scrutinize their lease contracts.
I will be willing to participate in any class action suit against them because they really need to be investigated. I hope another business that is reputible with the same product to offer can compete in the market place to take over that business and bring about a better way of doing business in our changing American society. I encourage all who have been violated, and ripped off from this company to participate in any investigations and lawsuits to bring this company down and hopefully get someone else who can represent the business, New York, and America in a way that is totally opposite of what we have been experiencing in the past. This is a new day and we got to do better business and treat our people better than this. We also must take responsibility for our actions in ignorance as well and become well informed before signing a contract. Concerned consumer, Houston, Texas
