Have received so many " rude & harrassing " phone calls from Ms. Nichols

My Ex-husband and I unfortunately purchased a pre-owned mobile home from Oakwood in March of 1998. We should have known at the time of purchase that we should not do business with them due to the way we were treated then. They acted like we were unimportant because we did not make alot of money and were not wanting to buy a new mobile home (that we knew we could not afford). Even though they were aware we had many things to do they just took their time and acted like we were to cater to them. Funny, I thought we were the " customers ".

Since my Ex-husband and I bought the mobile home we have divorced. My Ex-husband is unable to work and is retired on Social Security. He and I both have been " harrassed repeatedly " by this company. They have been told that my ex is doing the best he can in sending the payments in due to his situation. He is behind in his payments but at least he is trying to pay for the mobile home. He has told Oakwood several times that the trailer is 22 years old and is falling apart and that if they wanted it to come and get it. Since he quit " trying " to talk to them they have since started " harrassing " me since I was the co-buyer. In our divorce I signed over the home to him.

Over the past several months I can not count the number of calls and letters I have received from Oakwood. I have tried to " discuss " this with a Ms. Nicols or Nicholas (not sure) several times but since she will not even let me " get a word in " I have not been able to. Just today, 1-24-04 she called me and was so rude that I could not get a word in to try and tell her what my ex had told me to tell them and to let her know that I am not even working at this time. I tell you, over the past years I have dealt with many creditors and I must say without a shadow of a doubt Oakwood has got to be the worst company I have had dealings with. All they know how to do is get everyone upset!

To anyone that may read this all I can tell you is DO NOT do business with them and before you purchase from anyone you should do your homework and check the company/companies out.
