OATS transportation- Springfield/Branson, Mo. Driver; Sandy Schultz WIFE, MYSELF DENIED TRIP TO PAIN CENTER APPT,; DRIVER FLIPS OUT THEN LIES ABOUT IT springfield/BRANSON Missouri

OATS transportation company out of Springfield Mo., has some good, courteous, and friendly drivers, Most of them are helpful and will go out of their way to make for a pleasant trip for the customer. However, as in all walks of life, there is the one that sets themselves aside by being simply different from the NORM.

On March 28th, 2016, my wife Nikki and I were scheduled to be picked up at 11:30am in order to go to Nikki's PAIN CLINIC doctor in order for her to continue to recieve pain meds. As per the RULES, I had called in a week in advance and set up rides for the both of us. By 11:45, we still had no sight of a driver yet, and so I called the OATS office in Springfield and asked where our driver was. Brandy, the dispatcher, informed me that "she is Sandy and she is probably running a little late". Finally,at straight up noon, Sandy arrived, obviously 30 minutes late. I have been a rider of OATS for 15 months, while Nikki has ridden for over 3 years, on a regular basis. Neither of us have a car and we found that OATS itself is a great value.

After Nikki got aboard first, I followed her to where Sandy immediately gives me a RIDER RIGHTS AND RULES OF CONDUCT piece of paper. She folded it and said that she should have given it to me "last time I rode".Once I sat down next to Nikki, I noticed two blue circles on the sheet were next to two corresponding rules. The first circle was next to "DO NOT ENGAGE INAPPROPRIATE TOUCHING, VISUALLY OR SEXUALLY OFFENSIVE BEHAVIOR". tHE SECOND WAS CHECKED NEXT TO "ALWAYS TREAT YOUR FELLOW RIDERS AND THE DRIVER WITH RESPECT".I looked up toward the driver and asked why she had shown me these rules NOW and not earlier. She stated that I had made inappropriate advances with my comments in the past. She accused me of asking her out, a notion that I quickly denied and I called her a liar. The bus had another lady on board at the time, and Sandy then turns and says, "This here is my witness to all of this" I turned to this lady and responded, "Well, My name is Denny Hale and just be sure you spell it right"

Sandy and I continued to banter back and forth until I finally said she was a liar and that I was "gonna get her a** fired". She got angry and immediately turned the bus around and said she was taking us home. At this point, I don't believe Nikki even had an idea what was happening. She had said nothing. Nikki then asked me "where is she going?" at which time I said "the b**** is telling us to get off!" Sandy was blabbing something about my threatening her and Nikki first asked to please be taken to her doctor. Sandy said nothing and picked up the pace to our home. She pulled into the drive and opened the door. I went up to her and asked for our money back. She gave me a 5 dollar bill and I gave her one dollar back. I threw it in her lap and told Nikki, once again, that "this is a b****" and "cmon babe. lets go"

I then got off the bus first and Nikki was behind me still pleading with her to take her to her appointment. I, while out of the bus, asked Sandy if she could drop me off and still take Nikki to the pain clinic. Sandy, looking down at her clipboard and talking on the phone, shook her head and said NO! Nikki began to cry and asked one final time, to which Sandy closed the bus door. Nikki called out, "you f****** b****". I walked to the door window, knocked on it, and as sandy began to drive away rather quickly, I proceeded to give her the finger and yelled "f*** you". Sandy left with her WITNESS at a high rate of speed.

Sandy Schultz did this simply because of myself CALLING IN on her and complaining she was late, as usual. Of all other drivers at OATS, Sandy Schultz is by far the very worst. She is seldom, if ever, on time. She actually PLANS on being late. We have been with her when she has picked up a personal friend just to keep her company and ride free of charge around with her most of the day. She has a terrible habit of talking and making phone calls to her family members. My wife and I have seen this nearly every trip we have ridden on with her as the driver. She is inattentive and often speeds on her routes, because she is so late, thereby making it unsafe for passengers.

We intend to take legal action against OATS and SANDY SCHULTZ as soon as tomorrow. After speaking and reporting her behavior to JEFF ROBINSON, her superior, we waited 3 days for an 'INVESTIGATION" to be conducted. And of course, the results were that this is NIKKI and MY fault and now we are suspended from riding. Of course he would never believe his beloved driver was at fault!!! This is bullshit, and we both fully intend to file at the minimum, a civil suit, but we are also in contact with a Civil Rights Attorney.
