I fell behind in my payments and was then notified of an auction on my house. I called nd was then told I could do a mod., was sent the package filled it out , and waited for my appointment call, which then let me know that the actual owner of the loan sows not do any mods. what so ever. How can they get away with out right lying to people? Oh and to top it off was told that they should have never offered the mod. and should have never sent me the package to start with. What the ***????

There is hope

After 2 years of lost financial packages and conflicting policy and failed govt. programs I actually recieved a mortgage mod. form ocwen that include a 400 reduction in payment on 1st mtg. and a "short sale" settlement of second. The process was difficult and unsettling but the key appears to be gaing access to decision makers outside of the normal 800 number cust service. When that happened, once by accident second time by googling backdoor access, found people to be accomidating and responsive. appears to me tide has turned at ocwen

Keep up any delaying tactics available to you in order to stave off actual foreclosure, and stay there basically rent free until you face eviction without any appeals left. If you have a condo or HOA, keep those dues paid up, because they can foreclose a lot easier than Ocwen, who won't be in any real rush to take the home from you if it means they have to pay the HOA fees going forward.

I'm not defending your inability to keep up your mortgage contract, but I'm no fan of the lenders either, and chances are no responsible lender should have given it to you in the first place, so screw'em!

Keep sending them whatever they request regarding any new options tendered to you for a mod. It's a game they like to play, so humor them.
