On October 30th, 2003 I purchased a condo in Hallandale Florida and on November 1st Odolky Simon agreed to remodel a kitchen and two small bathrooms. Mr Odolky has a crew of approximately five workers and they do alot of construction work in the area of Broward county, Florida.

I had no way of knowing the kind of person Mr simon was. He explained that he would contact me with an estimate. Three weeks later he contacted me with an estimate and was given a check for four thousand dollars. After Four more months and almost no work done I began calling Mr Odolky from New Jersey. I called Mr Odolky an average of eight times a day, but he would not answer. I finally flew down to Florida and found Odolky Simon and his crew working at another building (Parker Dorado) located on Ocean Dr. Hallandale, FLorida.

Mr Odolky apologized and explained that he had fimaly problems and was behind on all his jobs. During my time in Florida Mr Simon had one of his worker go to my apartment and put tile down. After a week I returned home. I had family members go by the apartment and make sure that he was working on it. He completed the kitchen and one bathroom after he was given another check for six thousand dollars. I flew back to Florida in March and found that he had in fact completed the kitchen and almost all of one bathroom. He appeared to be very sincere as I spoke to him and paid him in full another four thousand in March. He explained that he was purchasing a home and would appreciate as much as I could give him. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!

It has been ten months and I have never heard from him again. I have called his cell and house number on numerous occasions, but no answer. I again flew back to Florida and found him working at another building. He returned my keys but ran back into the building as I attempted to speak to him.

At this time I am planning to return to Florida and sign a small claims complaint against Mr Simon. After all this occured I began asking around about Odolky Simon and found that he has a reputation of taking a job and taking a very long time to finish it or never finish it. Apparently Mr simon takes on more jobs then he can handle. He also takes money from one job to do another. I realize that this is something that all contractors do but they finish the job not Mr Simon.

I just hope that if nothing else this will help people find out the kind of person Odolky Simon is and they will choose another contractor.
