I purchased a $35 magazine subscription on May 28, 2010 from a very persuasive salesman who gave me a sob story - turning his life around, needed "points" to prove he was doing this, I needed to buy a subscription to help him get his life on track.

In December, I realized I had not received the subscription. I called the company, and was told that if I wrote or emailed them they would send me a refund. I did so, and they mailed me a check for $35. When I deposited the check, it bounced, and we were charged another $10 by our bank!
