Returned a Sony laptop just days after purchasing it online: I never opened it...never used it at all. Got RMA number, followed all policies. 35 days later, OfficeMax still didn't credit me the refund - long after the $500 was gone from my bank account to pay the credit card company.They hold onto your money illegally, even though they have the product back in stock and probably sold again. Don't ever buy a thing from this corrupt company.

If you have a receipt for your return from the store, you need to go to the credit card company, ask for a retraction of payment or ask why there hasn't been a credit yet, if you have a receipt from online call 1877OfficeMax, if you havent followed up on it, dont get irritated because you haven't gotten your refund yet.
