Olamide Owolabi  posed as Stacy Gallucci -HR Manager with Denso America International.  Interview went on via skype then they hired me and sent me a bad check to buy a laptop and office supplies. They asked me to transfer money which I was so stupid to do.  I am out $3,988.00.

I have tried to recover the laptop that went to another scammer by the name of Tami Grafe at (((REDACTED))) in Bloomington, IN  (((REDACTED))) waiting on Fed Ex to deliver back to me.  They had me fill out a W-2 sent me offer letters with the Denso logo and employment confirmation on letter head from Denso.  I finally got ahold of security at Denso and they told me this scam using Stacy's name has been going on since December. They also called me from the corporate office at Denso. I made a police report and the police told me scammers know how to re route numbers so that is shows up as the company number.

You Should Have KNOWN This Was a Scam

AUTHOR: Jim - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, March 02, 2020

You wrote this sentence and from it, you should have known this was a scam:

....they hired me and sent me a bad check to buy a laptop and office supplies. They asked me to transfer money which I was so stupid to do.  I am out $3,988.00.

Now, the way the scam goes is that they want to get you setup in an office and working remotely, sending packages to you and working from home, right?  Now, if this was a legit company, they would have just shipped you a laptop next day, fully programmed.  Now why would a successful company need YOU to send them money?

They would have provided all of the office supplies you would need to complete your work.  They don't need to send you a check and ask you to buy them.  If they are a successful company (and a shipping company to boot), then they certainly don't need your money and they can use their own assets to send you whatever you needed.  Successful companies don't need YOU to fund their operations.

This is an old scam run by people who pretend they're part of a successful shipping company complete with all of the logos, applications, forms, etc...  But if you could not see that this was a scam, then stop looking for jobs working from home.  Find a regular job.
