Went to the store to buy an omega watch for a Christmas present. I thought since the store was owned by Omega the pricing would at least be competitive. After getting it home I went online and was amazed that the nearest competitor was at least 20 to 25% cheaper than the Omega store. Amazons price for the same watch I purchased was $ 1600 less.
I called the store and was told by the Manager that the cost difference was due to the 3 year warranty. Well, Amazon also has a 3 year warranty. The topper was when he told me they had a no return policy. I could only exchange it for something of equal or greater value. This place is a ripoff.

1: Are you CERTAIN that shop is run by Omega? Did you contact their corporate offices or use any store locator on their site to confirm this?
2: On Amazon, was Amazon selling the watch direct, Amazon being the seller, or was it a third party marketplace merchant listing on Amazon?
If Amazon direct, I'd be surprised at the price difference. Some difference could be legit, but not $1600. And Amazon itself would not be selling anything but bonafide goods.
A marketplace vendor, however, could be selling knockoffs, gray market, used or what have you, and Amazon might not be aware of it. Can you check if the same watch is still posted there and provide its url or asin number?
Please update.

Don't worry Robert. I'm sure you won't lose any sales over this.

Buyer's Remorse is not a RipOff. The fact is that they offered to sell you a watch at a certain price, you agreed to that price and bought the watch. Perhaps you should have done your checking around BEFORE you bought the watch.
By the way a 20%-25% difference is actually competitive, but even if it wasn't that does not turn this into a RipOff. As for the $1,600 difference not knowing the price I would be more worried about how legitimate that watch is rather than the price. After all a $1,600 difference on a $3,200 watch is a bigger warning sign than a $1,600 difference on a $10,000 watch.
