Ammo here is DOUBLE the price of what it should be. A box of cheap ammo is 18.99 for 50 rounds, there selling all brands for the same price of 39.99. How can they get away with this? I can understand there trying to make money, but isn't there a law to stop businesses from getting 100% profit on items?

If you don't like their price, why don't you just buy the ammo for 18.99 somewhere else?   In a free market, the price of a commodity is whatever someone is willing to pay for it.   If people are willing to pay those prices for ammo, that's what it's worth.  If, as you say, the ammo is ridiculously overpriced, then they won't sell any and they'll go out of business.  No need to get politicians involved.   It's a self correcting system.

If you think it's unusual for a business to make a 100% profit on an item, I'd be willing to bet that you're not in business yourself.
