I took a large assortment of items to their store to sell that were in good condition, but used, including shoes with little wear, boots, some clothes, a book, some stuffed toys, etc. They offered $0 for it. I have been reading on the web that other people have had similar experiences. I will not be going back to their store. The trip was a waste of my time.

I did after I went there before posting here. One person complained that a different store in the same chain actually refused to return their belongings and refused to pay for them! In my case, I got my stuff back, but I suspect that their strategy is to offer $0 and hope many people simply leave the stuff there, which I saw a few people do while I was there. Then they take that stuff and sell it. It may not be a ripoff, but taking stuff to them is a waste of time. Take it to Goodwill instead. At least then you'll get a tax credit.

They are not required to make you an offer for your goods. There was no possibility of a rip-off because there was no transaction.
