On 05/26/06 I recieved a bill from One Call Communications. It stated that I owed $30.22. It also gave a description of the charges: #1, date 03/03/06, time 12:04 pm, origination of call 973-735-1786, city/ST/Country, Newark New Jersey, duration 4 amount plus taxes and federal charges $30.22. I live alone, I do not accept collect calls. When I contacted them they played back a message with a womans voice, and no one answered the call. There are discrepencies: 1. the phone number is NOT newark NJ, it's from Salsbury Maryland 2. If no one answers the phone, how can I be charged with ANYTHING? This company is perpertrating a scam, its illegal!!!!!

Dave,
I received THE SAME FRAUDULENT SCAM BILL from the same company. Guess what?
1. The date of my bill is 03-03-06
2. The time of my bill is 12:12 PM
3. The claimed time of the call is 4 minutes
4. The amount of my bill is $33.15
5. They claim the collect call number was 973-735-1786!!!!
6. They claim the call originated in Newark, N.J.
7. They treated me with the same rudeness and matter of factness that they did you.
My family never accepted any collect call from anyone at any time. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS, and NOW CONFIRMED, SCAM.
Either that or an AMAZING coincidence, with odds poorer than winning the lottery.
