After reading the comments of "Matt" I just had to post a response to his derogatory comments about the child care center operated by Dr. White.

Although I have never been to the above mentioned child care facility in question but let me give you my knowledge of Dr. White. I have known Dr. White since 1978 when I became a Born Again Christian while he was attending Faith Temple Church of God in Jacksonville Beach, Fla under the pastorate of Rev. Pat Devlin. I had the great pleasure of being a part of the first church Pastor White organized in an abandoned funeral home on Jax. Beach in the late 70's.

Dr. White is the type christian person who doesn't mind driving from Jacksonville to Gaffney, S. C. to be a comfort to a grieving mother who had lost her son. The mother I'm talking about is my sister who, along with her family, was also instrumental in helping Dr. White establish his first church. Dr. White made the trip to Gaffney purely out of the love of Christ and the friendship of my sisters family.

Having known Dr. White for thirty years and knowing his love of God and his fellow man I can not begin to comprehend how he could allow the things attested to by "Matt" from ever happening. As Dr. White stated in his rebuttal, anyone with a legitimate complaint would state their complaint in a matter of fact way and not use the slanderous, demeaning language "Matt" used. My name is Dr. C. David White. I am the pastor mentioned in this report. (Statement was made by a "Christian"?????)

Sometimes you can tell more about a person by who their enemies are than who their friends are. I trust your intellect to make a judgement.

I hope that the readers will read carefully the statements made by Matt.

First, The name of the center is "Open Arms Christian Child Care Center". I mention that for a couple of good reasons. One, he should know the name. He is the husband of a disgruntled ex-employee.

Second, I want you to be able to research the facts. We are federally regulated and inspected. You can obtain this information from HRS if you like. You will find that we have "never" even been sited for an offense.

Actually, our director's name is not "Sabre" it is "Sabra".

This person's wife was employed by our church when we fist opened the center. After we paid the before mentioned wife for two weeks of work and keeping thier child for free so she could recover from a "car accident". She quit, left (with two weeks child care unpaid) and disappeared.

The only time I ever remember conversing with "Matt" was about three months later when he called from I believe Virgina? From my understanding they stayed with family here, in Jacksonville, and in Virginia.

His complaint was that they had not received a IRS 1040 form. I spoke to him and tried to understand how we could make a form available to a disappearing act?

Please, read his statements again for yourself. Ask yourself, I assume that you are a rational person, If this person is the kind of person you would leave your child with?

Check the rediculous affirmations about things he certainly never saw. Remember, he was not an employee. He was just an non-working spouse of an ex-employee.

If you live in our area please accept my personal invitation to "just drop in" and see for yourself. Don't forget, you can verify what I have said with the state of Florida.

It is a shame that people can say anything they make up in a public forum without fear of litegation, but this is the state of affairs. To call a pastor, who you don't know, such a gracious name must tell you something of a person's character. To lie about good people by calling them theives borders insanity.

It is also notable that all of these "claims" have been made in a passive agressive place. If he "honestly" and I use the word in a very broad sense, cared one bit about all of the children we are supposedly mistreating he couldn't manage even one verbal protest to my face or in public.

Let me encourage you to be warned about people like this "Matt" who can make great claims without a single hint of proof.

Add to this all of the people who have their children in our center that will gladly recommend our center to friends and family. Come and meet some of them for yourselves.
