This was the classic advance fee loan scam, which unfortunately, I had never heard of and hence why I am now writing this report. Scam lender had bogus website to apply for a loan, then contacted me a couple weeks later and then proceeded to milk me out of $2900 over the course of 3 weeks before disconnecting the phone number. 

I feel really embarrassed and stupid that I fell for this and it has left me ruined. I might possibly lose my car and have to declare bankruptcy.
