When a company sells a 'FREE" service, then hides a secret contract agenda in the long legaleze almost no one has time to read, then it is deception, a scam, and yeah, by anyone elses discription, a RIPOFF!!! Where is the law that makes this illegal? Are you on the side of this unscrupulas action?. Why would anyone take your position, unless you are a participant? By the number of other complaints about this action, I smell class action lawsuit...you may want to dissasociate yourself from your position and involvement with this RIPOFF.

A ripoff implies that they did this WITHOUT your permission. But you GAVE them 100% permission to do as they have done. You are suffering from the "point, click, forget" syndrome. Had you taken the time to READ, you would have found that by using the "free: service, you are in essence signing up for a $30.00 a month fee to do so. Much like CRACK the first one is ALWAYS free. You will need to contact the site and have them terminate your service. If they refuse to do so because by using that FREE service you blanket accepted a term contract, you will have to get your credit institution to reissue you a new card.
This is the problem with using the web. Consumers much like yourself are taking what they see at face value. This means little things like READING TO PROTECT YOURSELF has fallen by the wayside. Next time you wish to try a service OR trial offer, be sure to READ the entire site. Always look for a terms and conditions section. They MUST have it up for the consumer to read. Then PRINT IT OUT!! Sign and date it. This way you have a backup HARD COPY to help to protect yourself from future incidents.
Really, you have NO ONE to blame BUT yourself here. You pointed and clicked and ended up losing money because the most BASIC of school skills other then finger painting was completly dismissed BY YOU!! YOU chose NOT to read. YOU chose to accept what was in front of you at face value without even questioning if what you were doing was the correct course of action. YOU saw FREE and did not go past that point in the problem solving catagory.
So maybe next time..........READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its NOT a ripoff when you just agree to ANYTHING under the ACCEPT button. Thats on you and your inability to comprehend the gravity of just clicking away.
