Outdoor Travel Poor Maiantenance Hamilton Ontario Canada

I bought a used class A motor home from Outdoor Travel which was on consignment. It was my first motor home so I trusted the sales man and dealer to make sure I was getting a good vehicle and I also paid $4k for a 3 year warranty. My wife and I used the vehicle three (3) times and decided motor home wasn't for us so I asked Outdoor Travel to try and sell the unit. I ended up selling the motor home privately but when it went to be certified there were at least 2 leaks, delamination and the tires, although in fair condition, were original tires which most/all dealers would have changed.

The leaks were caused by poor sealing which should have been checked when I bought the unit,  windshield leaked and was suppose to be fixed when I bought the unit but apparently was done improperly. Tires over 6 years old should be changed even if the tread passes as the rubber compound breaks down and due to the RV weight could cause a blow out which is very dangerous.

I asked that my warranty be cancelled as none of the issues were covered under the warranty but was told it could only be transferred. The salesman told me the warranty could be cancelled if the new buyer didin't want it. Outdoor Travel listed the motor home $20k more than what I paid therefore they would have made another $20k on my sale. I originally thought I over paid for my RV once I did some investigation and now seeing how they list consigned vehicles I know I over paid.

I asked the saleman for asistance getting some of my $4k warranty payment back so I could pay for repairs with no luck. I would suggest anyone thinking of buying a motorhome from Outdoor Travelgo to another dealer although I suspect like car dealers they are all a bit slimy and dishonest.
