Overland Park Regional Medical Cener Dr' disespectful, dsclosed my prior jhealth history, essentially misquoting and diagnosing things neither in evidence nor being sogh treatment for; never saw an actual doc. After sitting in the litttle ER patient room for an hour crying, my iv pulled loose and they coldly got upset that they might trip on the resulting wet area Overland Park Kansas

I was diagnosed with C Diff at OPRM a month ago.  I got a ten day suppoly of Flagyl.  I returned with diarrhea and extreme but pain.  I was put in a room, given fluids and pain meds and nausea meds.  They worked with me to get me to the restroom (crucial curng CDiff).  I had chosen to go to them before my insurance changed which meant I had to find a new PCP.  I hadn't even met one yet. 

I waited in the waiting area with one other person (a San Salvadoran illegal who had cut his hand on a lawn mower.  I went to diarrhea three times during our rather long wait.  Then that man and I were called back TOGETHER and put in a room with only a cloth divider.  There were rooms open which were truly separate rooms.  I hear the nurses and translator talking to the man about his legal status, his baseball favorites, what kind of food likes to make.  I lie there crumpled in pain and need to the restroom again. When I come back, the nurse "working" with me (and I have much respect for nurses so to give ths one ''s means a lot) hooked me up to the IV as the little PA came in to talk to me - Gleb or Belg or something like that. 

Obviously not a doctor or a nurse, with the bedside manner of a computer tech, he pulled out my "history" which in his mind was reduced to the last year of my prescriptions.  I had a hysterectomy in that time frame, six active and lanced MRSA sores, a long round of C Diff, a running injury and today's issues, which I had called my Hemotologist about.  So, yes, I have a fairly extensive list of presecriptions in the last year.  HOWEVER - this man didn't ask me, well what were these from etc.  He told me I was in withdrawal and that was causing the diarrhea.  Well, that made no sense - I had hudrocodone in my purse and had taken some the night before, trying to make my stop hurting enough so I could enjoy my daughter's birthday dinner (where I s**t down my leg do to the diarrhea this man was attributing to being in "withdrawal". 

He then pointed out how many docs had rx for me.  This apparently means without any explanation or reason you are guilty. Of what I dont even know, but I tried to point out to him that 80% of my Rx were from my family group PRACTICE - several docs who practice together, and you may see any of them at a visit).  There were some dental meds from having an implant, there was med rx by another doc at another ER, where I was taken in ambulance despite my protest, after I feel and passed out.  (That one was good, that doc figured out my ferritin was low and gave me an infusion.  I felt fine for WEEKS after!).  I tried to mention the low iron and ferritin  and all those issues.  PA Gleb cut me off, said those things don't cause diarrhea but withdrawal does and why was I not on subonone?

I laid there crying for an hour - saw no one, got no anti nausea meds.  Finally nurse cae in and said i was being dishcargedl  Then she noticed her I V had falled out of me and the foor wet.  She god mad.  My gut was hurting so bad all I wanted was to go home and cruple up on the coudh since clearly no one believed I had an issue.  I left them a stool sample though.

And of course, guess what?  The nurse called me at ten pm., says, ma'am you have a stomach illness called c difficile. I shut her down  Yes, I know I do and I tried to TELL them this while I was there hurting so bad, and btw I had s**t about forty times in the day to that point.  She muttered sorry.  And then hung up.

Never one to leave it be, I rushed over to ER.  Their plan was to call in more flagyl but I wanted something else, since in total i tool flagyl twenty days.  Not see me, assess me for the actual diagnosis and my colon, not to help me with the nausea or pain. Just throw the same anti at me and tell me to be glad "they" caught it.

I was stuck in a room again.  Left alone again.  Gleb was gone, too bad cuz I wanted to give him some of my mind about his career choice and still plan to.  This time the doc came in, said he would write for oral vanc as I wished, and for some nausea meds.  Didn't bother giving e IV fluids till I begged for them - after that mu s**t anyone would be deydrated.  I asked for something for pain and he was very very reluctant about that.  Finally he gae me fenanyl but was still very busque and rude.  I feel ripped off.  I wanted an accurate diagnosis, some patient care, some discussion of how to irradicate this disease so my kids don't get it, and to made to feel better before I was sent away.  I got none of that - but I sure they were just wanting me and my diarrhea to go away.
