as a former sales rep for Owens Corning basements I can tell you as far as pricing, they can discount the list or retail price by 35 to 38%.
mold is always an issue in a basement with drywall on the outside walls( I've seen it firsthand).
Thery are required to read you the "right to recind" provision in the contract and indicate that date at the bottom of the contract.
If you decline their quote and discount on the initial visit, they will tell you that will never be offered that price again. But, if there was any wiggle room left in the price their marketing dept will contact you and offer additional savings on what you were quoted.( keep in mind you can allways get 35% off retail price, but with some arm twisting you can get a discount of 38% )
