purchased 2005 vw bug on august 15, 2008, cash. dealer authorized 30 day warranty. on week later car having jerking problems. reported to dealer. dealer insisted it was cheap gas i was injecting. changed gas, still problems.

called following week, dealer said to take it in to check. 2 days later siad it was checked out by their "special mechanic" nothing wrong, but it needed a sensor. drive the car and it should be okay, has to get used to "New Owner".

two days later called again, jerking bad, spoke to daughter in law who satated they had ordered sendor it would be a few weeks. by october car was almost inoperable. took car to them, they said they would take to their special mechanic and car would be ready in two days. three months later car was still not ready. after calling various times, dealer stated he had to send it to la to another special dealer for repairs. he would call me when vehicle ready.

i asked for a loaner since i had been renting a vehicle for three months, he insisted on being against his policy. told me to call daughter in law, which i did and she hung up and me and never called me back.

car taken to la for repairs, when car was almost ready, dealer called and said it was going to cost me 3000.00 for repairs. after arguing back and forth and telling them i was going to report them because at that time i asked them where my vehicle was, they indicated they could not disclose that information. i indicated to them that it was my vehicle. i had paid cash, i had the right to know where my car was, they said they could not tell me until i came up with the money. i told them i was going to call the police and report that they had it and would not disclose info on car, they then siad that i would only have to pay 1000.00.

after a lenghty conversation, i told them to call me when it was in town so i could pick it up. they called on 1/2709, i picked up my vehicle on 1/30/09 at their location, again dealer stated to me that it was a special mechanic who had fixed vehicle and if there were any kinds if problems at all to take care back or call mechanic.

i bought car home and it has not ran since. i called dealer and he laughed and siad they had nothing to do with electrical, they had only fixed transmission. also, the fee for repairs was only 2500.oo not 3500.00 as he had indicated to me on various conversations.

i am still paying for my car thru credit union loan, paid 1000.00 for repairs, now i have to take to mechanic, hopefully not that special one, and see what it wrong with it. this dealer is a joke, and as far as his integreity as a businessman keeping his word, forget it. definitely a rip off!!!!
