Patio World Scammed us out of $900.47 with false promises and missed delivery dates. Naples Florida

We purchased an electric fireplace from Patio World. They promised a 2-3 week delivery, which was verified by a phone call to the manufacturer while I was in the store. They made us sign a "standard" purchase order which stated that custom orders were 8-18 weeks. We questioned the time frame and were told that those terms didn't apply to this particular sale, that it was just their normal order form for patio furniture, and didn't apply to an out-of-the-box item like a fireplace. So, we gave them $900.47 down, which was the price. For the next 13 weeks, they had a multitude of reasons, none which were true, about why this was delayed. At week 13 we tried to cancel the order, and they stated they had a no cancellation policy. Even if they didn't deliver, we weren't allowed to cancel! At week 18 we again tried to cancel since they didn't have the product to deliver. They said no. All during this time they repeatedly lied to us about why it wasn't shipping. At week 24 they finally said they had the product. We called the manufacturer and were told that Patio World had ordered the fireplace the same day we placed our order, but also canceled it that same day. So, wherever it appeared from 24 weeks later, it definitely hadn't shipped from the manufacturer. There's no way we want this unethical company coming into our home and installing a fireplace that they procured from who knows where. We just wanted our money back. They said no. They've kept our $900.47 and refuse to return it, stating that we had signed a contract saying we couldn't canceleven if they decided to not deliver the product for year! Do not do business with this company. To this day they have our money and won't return one cent. They didn't purchase the fireplace from the manufacturer. When I asked them for a bill of lading or something that proved they had the unit in their possession, they refused to provide me with anything. They wouldn't give us the serial number so that we could find out if this was even a legally attained unit. Nothing. They've decided that it's perfectly fine to keep all of our money for year and say Well it's here. We can deliver it, If you're thinking of purchasing anything from this unethical company, please reconsider. We're out $900.47. I don't know how they sleep at night.
