"To bring attention to a bad breeder (puppy mill) in the Greensboro area. Patty's Puppy Love Farm produces Labs, Weims, Vizslas, Labradoodles, Welsh Corgis. My Weim pup made it 36 hrs before going to hospital where she stayed until she died on 11/3."
Patty's Puppy Love Farm is a Puppy Farm alright, ( Patty's Puppy Mill Farm) is more like it. This girl has close to a hundred dogs, she claims the puppies are raised in her home, that right (A Single Wide Mobil Home) Attention!! Beware, Don't let this happen to you.

Excellent Breeder

Myself and my wife met other Vizsla owner's along with their dogs and no one had a bad thing to say about Patty or her business. I have been around dogs all my life and I am certified handler of Police K-9's, so I think that I know a little about dogs. I would definitely recommend Patty's Puppy Love Farm and I have to my friends. Check her out and I believe you will be pleased with Patty's operation and facilities!

Patty's Puppy Love Farm is a GREAT breeder!

Patty's Puppy Love Farm is a great breeder! We have purchased three Weimaraners from her and all have awesome personalities and have had no genetic problems. Our oldest is 4.5 years old. Her facilities are immaculate and she cares for all the dogs as they are her babies. If you have ever been to her home/kennel you'll see that she lives very modestly and that they obviously put a lot of money into the care and upkeep of their facility. Like she says, go see the facility and meet her and her puppies, you will not be disappointed!

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN !!

It is so sad that this Patty person breeds and produces all these puppies just in order to make a quick buck. She needs to get a real job and stop taking peoples money at the expense of these dogs. Looks like she has no regards to the health of these puppies and no regards to these families she is ripping off. Just figured out one reason she may not have a business license, $200.00 down and cash only at pick up! come on this is a sure sign she is breeding just for the money, if this was a legitimate business it would not matter how a person paid for the rest of the puppy. No paper trail on cash, how convenient.

A TRUE PUPPY LOVE FARM

After recieving a call from one of my customers about seeing these comments about Patty and how she is being attact, I just felt a need to set a few things strait. I have known Patty for several years and she does not deserve this kind of treatment, I have been to her farm many times her home is clean and her kennel is well kept, what a person lives in has nothing to do with what kind of person they are, after all a house is just a home. Patty is a great breeder and a honest person and I have always admired her for the care she gives her dogs, if anyone thinks they can do any better, then have at it. Patty puts her dogs needs ahead of her own, she does have help her husband and family. I am sure everyone knows, there is always two sides to every story, I don't know of another breerder other than myself that takes better care of there dogs than Patty does. Her place is far from a puppy mill, go visit a few back yard breeders then visit Patty's puppy love farm and you will see a true dogs heaven. I love my dogs and if anything ever happened to me I don't know of anyone else that I would trust anymore with my dogs than Patty. Any one in business is bound to have a complaint from time to time, some people God can't even seem to please, the best way to judge a business is to go see for yourself and follow your heart.

THIS PUPPY FARM IS RUNNING FROM THE TRUTH

In responce to Carol's report, you were right on the money! Patty says she does not have a customer named Christine, I guess she was so busy taking her money she forgot all about her after she recieved her puppy, talk about customer service! I ran a search on Patty's Puppy Love Farm on the search engine ASK.COM and it seems she did have a customer named Christine. Have you noticed every time an issue comes up about her puppy farm and her customers, she blames other breeders and questions what other breeders do? this is a sure sign she is running from the truth and has something to hide. It's apparent she had her friends to place a post in her behalf, like people are going to fall for that one. Sounds like Patty's customer Christine that purchased a puppy from Patty and named her Odie, found an expert on line and recieved some great advise.

I have just read over this report again. Only to find out that Linda's name has now changed to Carol in the first report filed. Now some one is tell Christine to reconsider purchacing a puppy from us (I don't have a customer or have talked to anyone about a weim named Christine). As for any contract i have ever read a good breeder gives 2 years on hips. With the exception of one in NC that i know of says 1 year on genetic defects which includes the hips (not worth the paper it's wrote on). Because i purchased a lab puppy from them that does have hip dysplasia and they said all the dogs had x-rays and were good. As for champion bloodlines haha.... I will not respond to any more of these reports. It's your job when purchasing a puppy to go look for yourself where your puppy is being raised. To call the vet that the breeder uses for information on that person and to ask for references that you can talk to the people who HAS purchased puppies from them. (As for the person calling a few days ago and ask for my best sells pitch and wanted to talk about my competor down the road) We don't have a sells pitch and we don't compete with anyone. I will not lower myself or my business by talking about people like they are doing to me right now. What goes around comes around and I figure God takes care of his own.
Have a wonderful blessed day

OPERATING A BUSINESS WITH OUT A BUSINESS LICENSE
AUTHOR: Debbie - (U.S.A.)

I did my home work on this one, found out Patty's Puppy Love Farm does not have a business license, also found out she has no one employed to help her care for all her many breeds of dogs. There is no way she could properly care for all these dogs and the puppies they produce by herself. I agree this place has back yard breeder written all over it. I also checked with the Guilford County Animal Control , they responded after recieving a complaint about this puppy farm. I just want to know, how is she getting away with operating a business with out a license.

Christine,
I know you are excited about your new pup, but is there any way you might
re-consider the breeder you are working with? Unfortunately, Weims are
plagued with breeders that are breeding for the wrong reasons, aren't very
familiar with the peculiarities, health problems etc., of these dogs. I
wish it weren't so, but there are so many horror stories that others have
dealt with with poorly bred Weims (not that that they are any less valuable
or loved), and I'd hate for you to get yourself into that type of situation.
The health guarantee is something that is important, I am sure you don't
want a sick puppy. A 2 year hip guarantee is worthless. Has the breeder
investigated other Weim specific health problems? IMPORTANT: Can you return
this pup to the breeder at any time over the dogs lifetime?
I also saw that they have a $200 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit! This is a sure
sign of someone just breeding for the money! Why would anyone force a puppy
on a buyer that changed his mind and is unhappy with the puppy? For just a
little more than their $700 asking price, you can get a pup from a reputable
breeder, champion bloodlines, WCA membership support, etc.
I am not trying to rain on your parade, but I would encourage you to do more
breeder research. This one has BYB/mini-mill written all over it..
Anne

So far, I've discovered she breeds at least the following: Weims, Labs,
Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and LABRADOODLES! Also saw a Vizsla puppy snuggling
with a Weim b***h and her newborn babies, but didn't see any reference to
Vizslas. (I didn't do much research, this is what I found in a few seconds
when I did one quick google search.) Seems anyone can buy a puppy if they
have the cash, and she boasts that puppies have 'certified pedigrees', but
that's about it. :( I did see on one Weim ad that she says they're
guaranteed not to have hip dysplasia "UP TO 2 YEARS OF AGE". Interesting,
isn't it, since the majority of dysplastic dogs, save for the *very* severe
cases, do not show up until later years, and you can't even OFA a dog until
they hit at least 2 years old.
Anyway, that's just what I found in a few seconds. Thought I'd share.
I have a question for Patty, You say this was your only complaint in seven years, I have found several complaints made about you and it didn't take me long, what about this Tom guy, how could he bring his puppy back to you when his puppy died? On my google search I found where this Tom Davis placed a post about you under Animal Lovers, and Dog Rescue, events, clubs groups in Greensboro NC. If his puppy died and I think it did, why would this man make something like that up? he must be very upset with you to place his post in the first place, Sounds like he found out about this ripoff report site and just wanted everyone to know what happend to him and his puppy, and for you to blame some one else for placing the post is just plain stupid, when its apparent that Tom placed a former post about you on another site. Know wonder you haven't hurd from him, I am sure he wants nothing to do with you. Due to my profession I have to ask, do you have a business license? are you paying taxes on all the money you must be making off all the hundreds of customers that you claim you have? If you think you are so wonderful, perhaps you should think again.

Patty is the best dog breeder in North Carolina

I ran across the complaints that have been made about Patty's Puppy Love Farm.
I have purchased 2 dogs from her and find that she is one of the best breeders I have ever been to see. When you visit her she shows you all her dogs ( which is not 100) . Her place is absolutely beautiful and a dogs heaven. I have also been in her home (trailer) it is spotless. Very clean with no doggie smell, I really don't see how she can keep it so clean. Several of my friends have bought from her and give her a rating of being a 5 star kennel. If you are interested in purchasing a dog, first I would suggest you visit her and judge for yourself if she is running a puppy mill or if she is running a dogs heaven?

PLEASE Come see for yourself!!!!

My name is Patty Hughes the owner of Puppy Love Farm for over 7 years. One of my customer who returned for his 2nd puppy from our place today has informed me about this report and was shocked to see it. And I will respond to the comments made honestly. There was a man named Tom who is NOT from greensboro but Hendersonville NC did buy a puppy from me a year ago not on 8/5/07 as when this report was filed. Tom had his puppy for 7 days and she got sick, he took her to the vet and maybe or maybe not the puppy passed away (I never recieved any papers from the vet at all). We do have a health guarantee for 2 years on each puppy but Tom would not bring the puppy back nor would he come to get another puppy as offered in every contract if something happens. Tom and His family came out to our place 3 times before picking up their puppy. They did not think it was a puppy mill neither time they were visiting. No one in their right minds would give someone money for a deposit if it was a puppy mill. I have not heard from Tom since.
I would like to ad that i do not think this report was wrote by Tom at all. I do live in a mobil home 1120 sq ft on almost 14 acres. But that's because i'm still putting money into Dog kennels, new office/nursery and they are more important to me. I have a wonderful home and so do my dogs. I DO NOT have close to a hundred dogs and you are welcome to come out and see for yourself. The person who reported this was a breeder who has puppies born in the barn and talks about my puppies being born in a mobil home. Call the other NC breeders and ask them to see all the dogs, where they live and are born. This will tell you exactly what you need to know. Then come see me... Tom has more respect for himself and more common since than to talk like this report is worded. I just want everyone out there to know at any point i will set up an appointment for you to come see for yourself what we have. I can give you a list a mile long of customers, vets office numbers and so much more. So don't fall for this and check out the other breeders on this site they are here also. With the exception of this is my first complaint in 7 years. Have a wonderful day
Patty Hughes
