I responded to an advertisement from Paula Altare at dietdivas.com offering a 14 day trial with my golden web membership. I responded exactly as directed and received a "welcome to my golden web membership" from my counseler, Camie Winkowski. I also received the meal plan. After looking over the meal plan, I realized that this was nothing like I had been led to believe. The gist of the plan was that I had to buy enormous amounts of expensive dietdivas food products or I couldn't possible lose weight.

I emailed Paula Altare immediately and asked that my membership be cancelled. I received a very nasty reply stating that I was locked in for a 90 day period (at 9.95 per month!) and that I should have read the advertisement more closely. Not only that, but I was locked out of the members areas even though I still had to pay the 9.95 per month!

At that time, I couldn't find the original ad so I though maybe I was mistaken. (Even though I was pretty sure about what I had signed up for.) I emailed Paula and apologized and said, "Okay, since I am locked in for 90 days, I will try it. Please reactivate my membership." After about a week, I got another email from Camie saying that my account was reactivated. I tried to use the plan, but it is ridiculous.

Today, I found the original ad. It said exactly what I remembered, free 14 day trial membership. I emailed Paula and told her what the ad said and told her that I wanted my money back. She sent me another nasty email to the effect of "Do you see GOLDEN WEB MEMBERSHIP!!" I copied my welcome letter and asked her if she saw GOLDEN WEB MEMBERSHIP! Again, asked for my money back.

She needs to be shut down from the internet and from business all together. She is a very bad businss person, dishonest and just a plain thief.

By the way, I read the responses the other reports. I have a feeling that Paula has written or ordered written every one of them.
