I was lied to by Kerrie Fairchild about the health of a Yorkie I bought from her Oct 29 she stated he was in very execlent health.  The only thing she stressed was that he had been neutered.. I called her in Dec to tell her my puppy had a very bad over bite..She stated don`t worry he will grow out of it. As long as he can eat he will do ok tell he is older
He is now Ten monthe old..His over bite is worse and his baby teeth wont come out on ther own and will have to be removed surgical.
This little guy  has had the best of care...I found out yesterday that both of his knees slip out of the sockets...The only way to help this is with surgery at a cost of $2000.
When I called her about the one year agreement she signed she stated she did not have to owner it.....One of the breeders of these dogs are out of Hulbert OK there-mail is starmye@chouteautel  ther names are Robert & Starmye Halpain

She is a dog broker..These pets DO NOT come from loving family homes as she implys

What a shame a person as myselF who lives alone and only wanted a companion could get ripped off by such a horrible person as her...

And the fact that my joyful little frien will have to be put down

It is called Pettellar Luxation

AUTHOR: Momtofurbabies - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, October 11, 2012

I have purchased 2 dogs from petland which we all know obtained their dogs from puppy mills. 2 of mine came out of MO. This was BEFORE I knew about puppy mills!

To the lady who complained about Pet Palace. I have never dealt with pet palace but can tell you this...it is not unusual for a dogs baby teeth to not fall out. It does happen and can be easily taken care of through your vet. One of my dogs who I adopted from someone who rescued her had a baby tooth that did not come out. Was easily removed during the spay for 10 bucks.

The knee's slipping out of socket. It is called Petellar Luxation and very conman in small dogs. One of my dogs has it ..the one I got from petland. Do I blame petland....the breeder ,,or broker? NO! It is common in dogs. Depending on the severity of it, surgery may not be needed for many years or at all.

I think it is unfair to blame Karrie Fairchild. You waited how many months to file a complaint? And YES some dogs babies teeth will eventually fall out on their own.

I recently just got a puppy from a breeder here in town and paid 450.00 If she catches a cold tomorrow, should I now then blame the breeder for her being sick? NO! If she ended up with Pettellar Lucation, should I blame the breeder? NO! Because it is common in small dogs just as certain diseases are common in certain breeds.

And my question is..why would you have to put your dog down?? My dog with the pettellar luxation is doing just fine!! Jumps..runs around and does well. Now and then has pain when they slip but nothing to be too worried about right now. My vet did not tell me she needed surgery today...tomorrow...next week or a year. It was something to just watch. When it causes pain, I hold her and massage the area to help work it back into place. Anyone who would put a dog down for that shouldn't own a dog ! If you cannot accept the good with the bad, then don't own a dog!

Slander and stupidity go hand in hand........

AUTHOR: KARIE - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, May 28, 2011

In response to your issue, I spoke to this customer a week after she purchased this puppy from me.  She did let me know that her vet checked the puppy and it was completely healthy, except there was a minor overbite.  I did give the customer the option that she could return the puppy if she was unhappy about the overbite. She then stated that her vet said that its baby teeth would fall out and the puppy would be fine.  Then she asked me to let her know when I had a female puppy available because she wanted one to go with her little boy.  I have heard nothing from this customer until now seven months later, demanding that I pay her vet bills that dont even exist.  It is not my responsibility to pay any vet bills for my customers especially seven months later.  My contract clearly stated that all my puppies have a one year congenital warranty that covers the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys of any genetic defects one year from their date of birth. My contract does not cover patella, teeth, or anything else for these issues can occur in any dog depending on the puppys diet and exercise.   I find it very unethical and offensive that you would even say that I ripped you off because you are elderly.  This would have applied to anyone that purchased the puppy.  If you are upset with anyone, maybe you should call your vet and tell them to cover the bill since they are the ones that said the puppy would grow out of it, not me.  It is very easy to point the finger at other people for your own mistakes. I have sold hundreds of puppies and only had a few issues that were resolved.  If the customer follows their contract then I will be glad to cover any issues outlined in the contract. I am sorry that you are having some medical issues with your puppy, but I would not just euthanize him because you dont want to pay for it. In my opinion that is animal abuse, so maybe you should think about what you are doing before you make your decision. There are plenty of vets that would be willing to remove puppys teeth for almost half of what your vet is charging, so maybe you should think about whether or not your vet is taking advantage of the elderly.  Next time I suggest that you think about your own actions and decisions before you decide to salnder me and my breeder becasue we had nothing to do with what has happened to your puppy. Yor were sold a happy healthy puppy....just ask your vet.
