I was reviewing my credit report and found that PB PACBELL claimed I had an outstanding balance of $2,086.00 and on the report it has a date open of Sept 2004, I never opened an account with them. Now I know why my Landlord was hesitant in giving me the apartment. I am very upset because I moved in with my mother and she already had a phone for many years and I never had a reason to have my own phone there.

If you have never had a phone with PacBell, I would

1. check my credit report
2. contact Pac Bell and demand proof of the bill.
3. Refute the charges.
4. Fight fight fight...
