PEP Boys Patchogue NY Auto Parts & Service Patchogue New York

On Sept 23, 2013, brought car in for routine inspection at PEP BOYS Patchogue location. Prior to this date, I made all necessary repairs to car including a wheel alignment, tires balanced, and replacement of light bulbs. After about 1 1/2 hour wait, I was told by service manager, Donald Golde, the car did not pass inspection and that I needed to replace the stop and license plate lights, and also a replacement tie-rod and wheel alignment. After much debating, I agreed to have the car fail the inspection and proceeded to another auto repair center, Forster Auto in Huntington, NY.  After the car was inspected by Forster, they stated the car could not have failed the inspection, because, they observed working stop and license plate lights and no wear on my front tires. The car passed inspection immediately. I also had Forster check my tie-rods and again, the stated there absolutely no issues with the tie-rods.  They coudl only conclude that PEP deliberately lied to me in order to make a sale.
