Perry Faraldi stole money from me. I hired his company Locaters Plus to do a search for me and they took my money and took off. No website, no phone number, nothing. Now I found out through an adoption chatroom that he is running another company called Elite People Search. I heard this from another search company that I called to do a search for me too.

So STAY AWAY from Elite People Search. They are the same bunch of scammers that Locaters Plus was.

Detectives charge 10 as sexual predators

Friday, February 25, 2005

By DOUGLASS CROUSE
STAFF WRITER

Detectives posing as children in Internet chat rooms snared 10 sex predators this week, including residents of Fort Lee and Lincoln Park, authorities said Thursday.

Investigators say the suspects visited online sites they knew to be popular with kids and engaged in sexual banter with "children" from ages 12 to 15. In some cases, authorities said, the suspects arranged meetings and described their intentions in graphic sexual terms. Several allegedly sent pornographic images of themselves.

What the men didn't realize, authorities said, was that undercover officers from the Passaic County Sheriff's Department - not children - were reading and responding to their messages.

Some suspects stated in messages or at the time of their arrest that they knew what they were doing was wrong, authorities said. One man from Union City allegedly told police he had dreamed of being arrested and acknowledged he needed help.

The department's Internet Crimes unit has brought charges against more than 50 alleged predators in its 16 months of operation, Sheriff Jerry Speziale said. In the latest arrests, the officers partnered with local police departments in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.

"Our joint efforts have made the Internet Crimes Unit extremely effective in removing online threats," Speziale said.

Charges against the latest suspects range from endangering the welfare of a minor to luring and enticing a minor to attempted sexual penetration. The most serious, second-degree offenses carry up to 10 years in prison upon conviction. All suspects were being held in the Passaic County Jail, with bail for the eight New Jersey residents set at $100,000.

Authorities identified the following suspects:

Perry Faraldi, 44, of Lincoln Park. He was arrested Tuesday. Authorities say he sent a photo of himself in underwear to what he believed was a 12-year-old boy and tried to set up a meeting. The suspect's family members could not be reached for comment.

Gary Neiman, 39, of Fort Lee. A sales manager at American Cargo Express, he was arrested Tuesday evening. He allegedly gave instructions on how to m********e to what was, in his mind, a 14-year-old girl. Neiman's family members could not be reached for comment.

Leorant Marku, 21, of Farmingdale. The cleaning company worker was arrested Wednesday morning.

Dennis Powers, 56, of Galloway. The high school teacher was arrested Wednesday morning.

Bert Linkow, 44, of Edison. He is unemployed and was arrested Wednes-|day morning.

Joseph Pizanie Jr., 40, of Kearny. The truck driver was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Omar Acevedo, 33, of Union City. The Continental Airlines employee was arrested Tuesday morning.

Hector Vilches, 44, of Eatontown. The operations manager with Eurokar Service was arrested Tuesday.

Steven Cunningham, 38, of New York City. The attorney was arrested Thursday.

Edwin Fritz, 45, of Stafford Springs, Conn. He was arrested Thursday.

The Passaic County's Sheriff's Department has a list of the suspects' screen names. Anyone who suspects someone they know may have been a victim can contact the department at (973) 881-7500.
