Pet Food Direct - PetFoodDirect.com Worthless "Low Price Guarantee" False Web Advertising Harleysville Pennsylvania

I was comparing prices for a specific brand of cat litter that I use a whopping 6 containers of each month. Usually, I buy this from PetSmart but have had problems with their shipping (box came open in shipment) so I looked to Pet Food Direct.

Instead of the 14.99 that PetSmart offers, the price was 19.49 for the exact size, exact same product. I noticed that if you look at any item on their website there is a box on the right hand side. At the bottom, in big letters it very clearly reads: "Guarantees Convenience, Selection, Low Prices". Hmm, they GUARANTEE low prices. They aren't just touting that their prices are low, this claims that they guarantee that their prices are low.

Because my usual tab on this purchase is around $130 a month, a lower price could really help out....I call the company's 800 number, and I asked them what their low price guarantee was. The answer was "WHAT low price guarantee?" The representative that I spoke with said that they don't match prices or compare prices with other retailers.

Thinking maybe I called the wrong place, looked at the wrong website, I looked a second time. Yes, there it is - in writing, LOW PRICE GUARANTEE. What a joke. I told the representative at Pet Food Direct that I was sorry....that I wasted MY time!

Searching through their website, I attempted to contact the CEO and big surprise, got voice mail for him. So far, I haven't received a call back and I doubt that I will. What a rip off!
