I received a letter from phh mortgage and it was dated OCt 5 ,2010.  It stated," that they thanked me for my recent home finacing application, We have thoroughly reviewed you application and regret that we are unable to approve your request at this time.  Our decision is based upon the following research:  Income - unable to verify. "  I never applied for a home financing, only a modification, so I wonder why they would dare do such a thing.  They told me by email, that I had not been denied .  Then on the phone last week , that I should hear something at the end of this week.   I am anxious to see what is next.
