This Philadelphia American Life Insurance has been fined over $200, 000. for not paying claim when claims are reported by insured individual. This company has agents that will interview you, takes about an hour, then agents say, your insurance is good on October 1st, 2018. You'd paid the premium. Then, they'll call you and want a second interview and screen you after you already been screened and paid them; however, I worked nights and slept days when they were calling and missed the opportunity to call them. 

Philadelphia America Life Insurance said, because I didn't call during the week that they were trying to interview me that they wouldn't pay for subsequent emergency room visit and ambulance charges. Avoid at all costs, don't ever sign or interview for this insurance. They run scams when they feel like it. They are cheap health insurance and will not pay for doctor and hospital costs.
