I decided I wanted to live at Piccadilly Apartments. I was told that there would be administrative fees and an application fee to apply for an apartment. These fees totaled to $190 and were non-refundable. But, I was told it could come back 'conditional' and that there were things they could do if that were the case. I asked them a bunch of questions regarding being approved, because $190 is a lot of money to me and I could not afford to lose it. I felt confident enough after talking with them to apply for an apartment. It immediately came back 'conditional'. They asked me if I could get a co-signer, and I originally said "no". And I was told I would have to forfeit the apartment.

Online it said that the apartment would expire under my name on January 1st. This was one or two days before that. I asked them why I wasn't approved on my own because I didn't want to keep running into the same problem. But they told me that they couldn't give me a specific reason, that I "just didn't quite make it". The online website was also malfunctioning. I found a co-signer while I still had the apartment under my name, but the "continue leasing" button was inactive. There was no way to add a co-signer on my own. I needed their help. The next day I messaged them on their website because I had a co-signer and the apartment was still under my name online. But they didn't respond to the message or answer any later phone calls. So I lost the apartment. There is absolutely no reason why I should of had to dish out $190 for them to just reject me for reasons still unknown.
