Did you actually read the agreement before signing it?

I have a currently outstanding loan with Plain Green. I also took out an $800 loan, and if I waited to pay it off till the last minute, I would also be paying the same fees. You can pay off the principle of the loan early, and avoid those interest charges, which are clearly given up front when you ask them for the loan. I knew going in that if I waited for the full term of the loan, I would be paying very high interest payments. The website even recommends that you pay the loan off early in order to avoid the high finance charges.

The charges and interest are right there, you HAVE to read them before getting a loan. They go out of their way to tell you to pay the loan off early to avoid finance charges and interest. Yes it's a lot of money, but I'm in the same boat as you, except I paid off parts of the principle early (something you can easily do on their website) and won't be paying the full finance charges.

You really can't get mad at them for anything. If you had bothered to read the agreement before signing, then you were fully aware of the interest rates and charges (it's even shown to you broken down up front to show you your payment schedule and the charges involved!) and if you didn't read it then it's your own fault. The long and short of it is, you signed the agreement. Nobody put a gun to your head, they didn't hide their charges or rates, and you haven't done anything to pay off the loan early, to avoid those charges. I hate to say it, but this is all on you, and I don't see where you have a leg to stand on to complain.
