April 4, 2020: Began our negotiations with Mike and Carm Gemberling, Located Standard Poodle through Facebook page, "Standard Poodles Are Great."  Note: Availability at time, Three, (female) Standard Poodles, two apricot, and one red, both 5 weeks old availble at the end of April.  Per Carm Gemberling, "place deposit of  $350.00 to reserve pick-of-liter rights among remaining two puppies, and to reserve single puppy."  Carm said once deposit was in place she would make arrangements to meet us half-way between Houston and Dallas with both female puppies to make our selection.

April 5, 2020: Made payment of $350.00 through PayPal online.  Reserved option for preference between remaining two female Standard Poodles.

April 23, 2020: Carm tells us she can not meet half way.  She said that she has too many other buyers wanting puppies for her to drive that far.

April 24, 2020: Family drives to Sherman TX, from Houston TX: "4 hour 26 min." paid for hotel in Sherman with travel points.

April 25, 2020: Morning: Carm is hard to get ahold of and we wait patiently and are skeptic we have been scammed.  She is not answering or responding to voicemails or text messages.


<br  Afternoon: Carm is responsive and apologizes for delay, says she will not be able to meet us, however, she will send Mike with the puppies to the Tractor Supply in Sherman.  After waiting at Tractor Supply for an hour, Mike shows up with a single female puppy.  I am livid that Carm did not bring both puppies to choose from.  I call Carm and she says that I can either take the sole red female puppy or she will refund my money.  She did not offer any other type of compensation. 

After several minutes of being infuriated and unrelenting, Carm says that she sold the Apricot to another buyer without so much as to an excuse as to why.  The most I received was "I'm Sorry."  Can anyone see how a month of waiting and anticipation would build up my family's excitement, we had already played scenarios amongst each other in preperation of our new family member.  And then to drive 300 miles and stay the night in a foreign city and wake up the next morning and say, "Today is the day!"  Just to arrive and be given the options of, "Take it or leave it!"  Carm didnt even have the courage to show up herself! 

Our pup arrived with fecal matter in her hair, but my family was in love with her cute tiny physique, and shaved little nose.  My wife and I, did our very best to remain positive and we paid for the last available Standard Poodle after waiting on the waiting list and going through so much trouble.  We didnt want to have to drive home empty handed and begin the search process, the waiting list, and the heartache all over again.  Paid a total of $2,150.00 including the deposit of $350.00 to Pay Pal. 

June 5, 2020: Prepare to leave town for summer vacation.  Drop off "Abbey Quinn," @ Green Dog Training in Conroe TX.  3 week obedience training.  Cost $2,100.00 

July 16, 2020: Return to Green Dog Training for post training follow up.  Green Dog Training Owner doubts breed of Standard Poodle.  Begin investigating.  

July 19, 2020: Sent text message to Carm, "Good Sunday Afternoon, How tall are Abbey Quinn's parents?"  To our avail, "NO RESPONSE."

July 26, 2020:  Sent text message to Carm, "Hello Carm, We have an issue with our Poodle.  Please contact us immediately.  My husband is already taking action against you and I told him we should make another attempt to reach you, but he will not listen.  Please contact us before his actions can not be reversed."  This message was never received by Carm because between July 19 and July 26, after receiving the message on July 19th, which was a cordial and mildly inquisitive statement indicating we were on to the fact we had been scammed, Carm blocked us.  She never replied to our inquiry, never made any attempt to throw us off the trail, or make excuses, she just blocked us.  It leads me to speculate that she is all to familiar with scamming people, and taking advantage of people.

Out of pocket $4,250.00

***This was a lifelong decision, something we have all mulled over since childhood.  Fantasizing the idea of having a large standard poodle.  This would have been our first, and we made an investment with a shady con artist who took advantage of our longing and waiting, and all of the effort that we put into making this a reality.  We love our dog, but there is a huge difference between a Standard Poodle and a non Standard Poodle.  Neither of us ever wanted a small poodle.  We do not like small breed dogs, and are acustomed to Great Danes.  This just doesnt fit our profile, and we are left resentful.    BUYER BEWARE, GO ELSEWHERE!!!  RIPOFF!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!!
