Portable Components Aka Upgrademaster.com Deceptive Return Policy Jersey City Internet
*UPDATE Employee: Policies, FAQ's and our website
I purchased an item from www. Upgrademaster.com, and returned it within the same week. The online "Warranty" policy states that a customer has 10 days to return an item once a RMA is issued OR a 15% restock fee applies. My return was within the 10 period, but they still charged me a 15% restocking fee. When I called Portable Components (www.upgrademaster.com) a customer service rep. stated they changed their policy, but forgot to update their web site. I called on a few occasions, and was told a manager would call me back, however I never heard from Portable Components again.

#1 UPDATE Employee
Policies, FAQ's and our website

As Department Manager of Customer Service for Portable Components, I'd like to include the following. Our policies on returns, refunds and replacements have been entact for more than two years as our business was founded almost 10 yrs ago.
Our company has always charged a re-stocking fee of 15% for return of items not exchanges, or replacements. We have many customers who have bought items from us and than no longer need them because the laptop went bad or was faced with more serious problems (ie, the motherboard needed to be replaced) and the component was no longer needed.
Our company still has to employ, box, ship and handle the item and that costs money.
If you are ever dissatisfied you may always ask to speak with a supervisor.
Unfortunately, that option was not chosen by the consumer in this situation.
Thank you,
Portable Components
