Premier Porsche of North Houston Maintenance Ripoff - Incompetence - Unnecessary Double Engine Removal (-$4000.00) Houston Texas

Took in a 911 due to blowing oil out of the exhaust and stopped running. Diagnosis bad OIL-VAP Separater.  Replacement required pulling engine to replace. $3555.27 total.  When the service manager told me they would have to pull the engine to replace the part, I told them this is a good time to replace all the seals that might be leaking as it was leaking oil in the garage and to replace the spark plugs and let me know of any other service that might be a good idea sense the engine would be out of the vehicle.  The invoice showed no seals and 1 rubber O-ring.

I drove home, parked the car and it still leaked oil.  My wife threw here normal fit, I returned the car and left it.  Result- leaking oil seals.  Cost to fix $4906.07. $3150.00 was additional labor that could have been avoided if they had done what was requested the first time service was ordered. 

I have have an extensive background in auto and aircraft maintenance and when you pull an engine, that is the time to do any maintenance that may be needed.  If they would have done a compression check, I could have easily been sold a (probabley needed )valve job as well as ring replacement.  If you need Porsche maintenance, perhaps you should try some of the non dealers that support the people that like to race them in the the Porsche Clubs.

Minus $9000 in 2 weeks, half of which, in my opinion was total due to lack of customer care and/or incompetence.
