Premiere International Institue NURSING SCHOOL NIGHTMARE Ft. Myers Florida

If you are looking for a nursing school in florida then PLEASE DO NOT GO to Premiere International Institute. I signed up for the LPN course then being asked to attend the RN course instead which seemed to good to be true and now I see it was to good to be true.

I was told it was a 14 month course and was given a graduation day of October but now that has changed to April of the following year. That is a 5 month difference in time. I have a full time job and that is another for taking this course because the days the syllabus showed as scheduled days worked out with my work schedule and I was assured by the school that was the schedule. Now at this point I have had to change my schedule at work over 5 times due to lack of planning on the schools part after they assured me the schedule was set. I am reasonable and understand things happen and 1 even 2 schedule changes are fine but 5 times and now this will be my 6th change. Am I suppose to lose my job due to all these changes and put my faith in  a disfunctional school? This is not to mention all the singling out and not to mention how I hjave consistantly been picked on by the schools owner. Is this the experience that is to be expected when you go to school?

I have maintained a 90% average all year long so I am not failing in the least but when you are paying out of pocket for your education you expect things to go smoothly and to be treated with some sort of professionalism but you will not get that here.

My whole class, all of 6 people now because many have quit and gone to other schools, are all disheartened due to all the lies we have been fed about graduation, jumbled & unplanned, unscheduled cirricullum & clinical hours, lack of teachers which get changed more times than most people change socks, lack of teachers & just a general lack of everything else. 

People that left our school and went to other schools, all of them are graduating before us and most of them WAY before us and we all had to learn and do the same stuff. Its not our fault because we are just here to learn and they refuse to take responsibility. They gave us a graduation date of October, now they say April of next year, what is going to happen in April? Maybe we will be here for eternity.

I new there was an issue with the school when they told us they would not except federal grant money so we could get some aid with our tuition but by that point we were 11 months in and the funny part was they handed out to us the info of where to get the federal aid money but now they will not accept it. Anyone see an issue here? We have to pay for this out of pocket and they wont accept help for us even though we got approved for it. Completely unacceptable.

Lets keep goping. The A/C was practically never on and we were sweating out butts off and keep in mind this is florida and that was summer when that was going on and no one cared. How can you expect people to learn in 100 degree temperatures?

When you go to school for a trade specially in the medical field and a trade you are doing for the first time in your life you expect order, organization, to be comfortable, no additional stresses outside of regular school learning and you definately don't need or want to hear from the school your paying for an education from that they dont need your money or need you. Last time I checked, No Students = No School. Not very good marketing strategy. Let me not leave out that the online program we have to do that they put so much stock in, we have not been given the book to help us study for the tests in this online learning software.

There is more, much more but I think the point is made. Because when you go to school you go for the whole experience as well as mainly the education but both sides of this have been a horrible experience.

So if you value your sanity, education, money and your future do not make the same mistake I & my classmates have made.
