I leased a as is car on 3/13/12 and it broke down on 3/29/12 on a highway in Raleigh,nc. It needs alot of work but in the contract it said there is nothing wrong with the car. They refuse to fix it without me paying for it even though its very obvious the car was messed up before i started to drive it. The head gasket, tires, brakes, oil leaksare no good. I could have gotten killed on the highway. The engine light wont go off. It shakes real bad at stoplights and some of the bolts are missing from the tires. A tow truck guy said its not a safe car to drive. They are nothing but crooks!!!

LISA, EMAIL A COPY OF YOUR RIPOFF REPORT TO ALL OF YOUR LOCAL TV NEWS STATIONS..........

AUTHOR: Karl - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 17, 2012

immediately and put it to the attention of 'Investigative Reporter'.

There is a chance that one of them will contact you and help you. They can expose the dealership on TV. Once the dealership understands that they might be exposed on the Local News station, they might reconsider and take the car back and give you any money that you used for a down-payment.

Give it a try! You have nothing to lose.

Good luck to you.

Why do you think they are responsible for fixing a car that you leased 'as-is'?

I'll bet you are still driving this car

or, attempting to drive this admittedly unsafe car in it's present condition, unless, of course, the head gasket problem came to the fore.

Does that car really have over 196,000 miles on it?

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, April 16, 2012

That  could be one of the reasons for your problems.

"AS-IS" means YOU fix it.

Let's see...you got into a CAR FLEASE for a USED car....a USED car!!! With all the VERY OBVIOUS problems this car has, did you even bother to look at the car or take it on a test drive? Next time, take somebody with you who knows what they are doing...somebody who knows the meaning of "AS IS" because its quite clear this transaction was way above your limited capabilities.

and put it to the attention of 'Investigative Reporter'.

There is a chance that one of them will contact you and help you. They might even expose the dealership on TV and alert others in your town, so everyone is aware of what could happen to them if they decide to go into this dealership in order to purchase or lease a car.

Make sure to send copies of the lease agreement and as many photos as possible to all of your Local News stations. You might even want to contact the bank where the vehicle lease was sent and get copies of all the paperwork that the dealership sent to the bank. There is a chance that some of the paperwork could have been altered by someone at the dealership and then sent to the leasing company.

If that is the case, then you can sue the dealership and most likely get out of the lease, right?
Feel free to 'Google' this- CAR SALES: TRICKS OF THE TRADE- CONSUMER ALERT, and watch that video on the web. One of the finance managers at the dealership was caught on undercover camera altering Tori's income, and then he sent the application to the bank for financing.

Good luck to you and keep us posted.
