I found this site through a supposed "news" article on the internet and was lured in by the potential to try the site out with 100 free bids. I signed up for the account and was directed to a page to enter my credit card information. The web page is so fractured in appearance, that many portions of the site appear to be ads. I reviewed the box requesting my credit card information multiple times before submission to make sure I would not be charged a fee. The next morning, I discovered a charge for $149.75 on my bank statement. I immediately contacted the company via email, as instructed by the company's voicemail system, and requested a refund. I received a prompt email stating that the terms and conditions were "clearly stated" on their web page and that bids are nonrefundable. Since there have been so many complaints listed against them on websites such as this one, I sent a follow-up email contesting that their website was "clearly" labeled and, again, asked for a refund

I find it hard to believe that is a lawyer..

AUTHOR: Ronny g - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, November 20, 2010

The big head dude. A hoax or a scammer. No legit attorney would spam here. The reason someone would spam here..is because where better to look for suckers and victims then a rip off report?

As stated just keep on the a-holes..you will get the refund. all the advice is good.

I do believe however that like swipebids (a similar gambling site that calls itself an auction and uses deception for the membership), was promising refunds..then recently informed everyone they are being shut down and no more refunds. (and this was after they had them hand filling out long forms, and consistent emails back and forth..a real hassle)..So do not delay...they use a manufactured fake news report to lure in victims..apparently they are not on the up and up from even BEFORE you sign up.

And good advice for future reference...do not enter account information out online, and you will not have to worry about unexpected charges and identity theft. If you really want to buy something and do not know anything about the website...a quick google or internet search will often help you make that decision a little more informed.

Good luck with the refund.

Yes that is correct, NO LAWYER.

AUTHOR: KissMyEeyore - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, November 19, 2010

I happen to run a Lawyer Referral Service.  So yes, based on my experience with attorneys, I don't think one is necessary here.  Not to mention the fact that I, myself, was a victim of Priceshuffle.  And I DID file reports with those agencies.  They might not be able to do anything about it, but it sure gets their attention!  So, I filed the reports.  Next, I told Priceshuffle I filed the reports.  After that, Priceshuffle called ME, and refunded my money.  THERE WAS NO LAWYER INVOLVED.  Maybe you should start your own legitimate website rather than soliciting people here on RipOffReport who already have lost money.  I'm not basing my opinion on anything other than my own personal experience.  I am assuming NOTHING.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

Does not need an attorney? FTC and Better business bureau? Think those wont get pushed back on such low claims?

AUTHOR: Sirslappy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 16, 2010

The better business bureau is mainly to show other people about that business. Think they will bother with a $150 claim? The FTC has so many things to deal with involving serious identity theft crimes and etc - thin they'll do anything? As far as my suggestion - how can you know what is in the car unless you LOOK first. On average a person typically needs an attorney 2-3 times a year but goes without because of the cost. This is a perfect example and I know of a system here that makes things easier to pay for so you can utilize them more often. This is EXTREMELY low cost .(((REDACTED))) to find out. An open mind is a door way for someone to drop a worth while thought in there. Atleast look before you assume.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

You can do this yourself!

AUTHOR: KissMyEeyore - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 16, 2010

First of all, my condolences to your bank account.  Second of all, do NOT hire someone to help you fix this.  You can do it yourself.  You can read MY Ripoff Report about this same company (I think I'm the next one down).  You are off to the right start.  Eli, the General Manager, doesn't like Ripoffreport!  Now move on!  File reports with the Better Business Bureau, the FTC, the Attorney Generals Office.  Do not give up.  Do not give in.  Do not let them bully you.  Send many, many emails to them.  DO NOT STOP UNTIL YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK.  You can do this and you DO NOT need a "lawyer" or an "alternative to a lawyer".  (No offense to the dude with the big head, but seriously, its $150!)

Oh, and spread the word.  If you know of anyone else getting scammed by these crooks, tell them all to file complaints with the above mentioned companies - and don't forget the FBI's Internet Crime Unit.  All of these organizations have website with easy to fill-out forms.

Stay the course!  Give em hell!

#1 Consumer Suggestion

I have a possible attorney suggestion to help with your problem.

AUTHOR: Sirslappy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Looking at your problem is very ironic considering I run a business on the side where I can
help people with attorneys for a fraction of the normal cost. Anyone who is
going through this kind of problem should seek legal counsel. Without
it the company probably won't take you as serious and you won't get any helpful
answers. - Please contact me at eyesinthesky31@yahoo.com
if you wish to receive further information about how this program here
could possibly help your situation and save a TON of money compared to
what may be typically charged elsewhere. Most people in life let legal
issues go because the cost of an attorney usually exceeds the cost of
what they'd be getting back is my experiences in life. Through this
program you can utilize certain unlimited services without paying the
$100-$1000 an hour that attorneys may typically charge. My name is Craig
Shepherd by the way and feel free to email me anytime.
