OPEN LETTER TO MEMBERS OF THE BLUE CONDO BOARD & PrimeCast/BroadStar/CNXNTECH

Dear Members of the Blue Condo Board & PrimeCast/CNXNTECH,

I dont think I have to tell anyone that the situation with PrimeCast @BLUE is beyond the pale. We are being held hostage by a micro-monopoly that delivers overpriced EXECRABLE SERVICE if and when it works properly at all.

It is a system that does not work as advertised. Ever.

PrimeCast is not only detrimental to the quality of life at BLUE, but poses safety & welfare issues with a service interruption which is very common, we essentially have no communications cut off from 911 calls, critical TV news & emergency announcements, the front desk and the world at large via the internet. Natural disasters? Terrorism? Im sure many residents are aware of the ways in which this loss of communications has already impacted residents lives negatively in emergency or urgent situations. Ive heard whispers of a telephone backup system does anyone really believe that will work seamlessly in the event of an emergency, considering PrimeCasts track record?

At the same time, no government or company can assume, presume or pressure a resident to purchase separate cell phone service as a necessary adjunct to the dysfunctional, flawed service already in place as a form of insurance.

I am not a lawyer, but even a mouth breather should be able to smell the potential legal implications in this situation on any number of levels.

Do I really have to elaborate the myriad ways in which PrimeCast service deserves to be labeled execrable?

Well, as PrimeCast refuses any accountability or responsibility, and the BLUE Condo Board is asleep at the wheel irresponsibly I guess I do.

HD TV services rarely if ever work, even analog has problems, internet speeds are well below advertised speeds, service interruptions are so common as to become expected, incompetent customer service, tech support I have to install Certificates via terminal mode to use PrimeCasts e-mail/home page on a Mac computer? thats too funny!!!!!, constant replacement of boxes, service interruption that can require the resetting of many devices in the units. This is tiring the list goes on, as any resident will tell you.

Yes, I have an outstanding balance and my service has been disconnected as have many others -and so far as I know, PrimeCast will not discuss any form of payment plan in these hard times.

On the other hand, what I have been paying PrimeCast seems more than equivalent to the quality of service they have provided.

Wouldnt it be more equitable under the circumstances if billing were based on the service providers performance or lack thereof? Or, that retroactive credits be dispersed for not providing service as advertised? (i.e., false advertising). Of course it would. But with the PrimeCast/CNXNTECH micro-monopoly, it simply aint gonna happen.

PrimeCast/CNXNTECH should be ashamed of themselves, as should the BLUE Condo Board for allowing such a wretched condition to continue that impacts the quality of life and poses potential safety & welfare issues to the residents of BLUE.

Of course, I say this with due respect for all concerned.

Regards,

A disconnected, and formerly unhappy subscriber - now I get free WiFi from residents networks (and it works better than my paid-for service and free basic cable -
