MOVE IN PROGRESS

I have called everyday for the past 3 days and NO ONE can tell me when to expect the missing part of my shipment!

This move has been the worse move experience I have had ever, and I move frequently. There seriously needs to be some talk of adjusting the cost for this terribly poor service and experience. How does only part of the customers shipment get to their home?

Cons:
Move team was late.

Truck driver was supposed to be here on Sunday. Called and told me he had got pulled over by a trooper and forced to sit at a truck stop for 10 hours and he would not be delivering my things till the following day in the early AM.

Truck driver called me back shortly after to inform me that he had only 3/4 of my house hold goods and he was unsure why or when the rest was coming.

I never received a call from him in the AM and finally called him around noon. He said that he was trying to find a Chase bank and he would not move the truck till Priority 1 western union-ed him some money.

Around 1pm I got a call from the truck driver he was unable to find a Chase bank but he would deliver my stuff anyways.

Truck driver informed me that he picked up two homeless hitchhikers from the truck stop to help him unload the truck. I am not sure what home owner wants homeless strangers picked up at a truck stop to be in their house, though they were nice enough.

They didn't come prepared and had no box cutter or knives to use to cut tape and what not. They were using nail clippers!

The driver DROPPED my $800 dryer!!!!!!!!!! I still don't know if it works yet as the plug on the dryer is 4 prong and the wall socket is a 3 prong. I have Sears technicians coming to look at it tomorrow.

I still have no clue when the rest of my stuff will be arriving. I called yesterday as the people delivering were leaving and received a phone call. I told the man I had to call right back. Called 14 minutes later and was told he had left for the day. When I asked to schedule the next shipment of my goods I was told to call back tomorrow.

I have called everyday for the past 3 days and NO ONE can tell me when to expect the missing part of my shipment!

Move with less stress HA... this has been a night mare.

Pros:
Giovanni from the packing team was very friendly.

Truck driver and crew were friendly once at the home.

Driver moved old washer and dryer out of the way and hooked mine up it their place.

The Horror Continues with this company

AUTHOR: just_alyssa - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 08, 2012

Hello Again,

This is taken from page 27 of the brochure sent to me from the company Movers Rights and Responsibilities. 'Furnished by
Your Mover, as Required by Federal Law.'

"Transport of Shipments on Two or More Vehicles

Although all movers try to move each shipment on one truck, it becomes necessary, at times, to divide a shipment among two or more trucks. This may occur if your mover has underestimated the cubic feet (meters) of space required for your shipment and it will not all fit on the first truck. Your mover will pick up the remainder, or 'leave behind,' on a second truck at a later time, and this part of your shipment may arrive at the destination later than the first truck. When this occurs, your transportation charges will be determined as if the entire shipment had moved on one truck."

Let me begin by saying that nothing was underestimated by the moving company. All of my good could have fit in the first truck. However I was told by the driver that since I paid in full the company figured they didn't have to deliver all my stuff at once? There was an entire other shipment on that truck other than mine.

So today 8 Aug 12, I received a call from the Driver Anthony today (718-612-2147).  He tells me that he is driving an 18 wheeler and it may not fit on the small streets of Annandale. So I may be required to pay a shuttle service fee? I am absolutely infuriated by this. See the above paragraph taken from your pdf that you sent to me. There is no reason that I should have to pay an additional fee because your company failed to plan accordingly.

I called and spoke with Ryan in customer service. Ryan would not give me his last name nor would he provide me with a point of contact in management. He was no help at all and told me that as of right now I am not paying a shuttle fee so he doesn't know what I am arguing about. I informed him that if it wasn't such a big deal all I am asking is that he or one of these elusive managers call this driver and explain to him that the shuttle service fee is not to charged in this instance since it was the company (PRIORITY 1) who messed up the shipment and I shouldn't have to be charged more for the company's poor planning and execution.

He told me that if tomorrow they charge me a shuttle fee I need to call back and they will try to diffuse the situation at that time. Let me point out that I was on hold for over an HOUR waiting for this man.

What kind of company has managers who will not speak to its customers?

I would hope that someone there will do the right thing and waive this shuttle service fee should it arise.

This is by far (by leaps and bounds) the worst moving company I have ever dealt with in my adult life.
