Proactiv Solution Skin Care I ordered a sampler kit of this skin care online and they continued to send me products and charge my accounts WITHOUT PERMISSION. I was careful not to agree to anything but one purchase. Internet

Warning!
Proactiv skin care products are a scam. The company keeps trying to send me products I did not order and has charged my credit card and now PayPal for these items, including ones I never received. I sent one package back, return to sender but have been charged for two. I ordered a sampler kit ONCE online and was very careful not to agree to any more products than that but they continue to take my money. The item in PayPal says it is "pre-authorized" which is a lie. They are nearly impossible to contact, and I have asked them not to send me more but have been ignored.

Thank you. We've already been to a dermatologist with good results.
As for shopping, I'm just sticking with easier-to-deal-with more trustworthy companies. No time for that kind of BS! PayPal took care of the problem since Proactive made it nearly impossible to "unsubscribe."
Happy New Year!

I will admit, though, that since participating in ROR, I've become a much more careful consumer.
I just ordered $38 worth of merchandise from a new (to me) online vendor and I did read their terms and conditions, checked them out on BBB and Ripoff Report.
I then used Citi virtual credit card numbers and limited the transaction amount to $40 and the time limit to charge the card to 5 days. It they were going to charge more now or a little later, they would likely deny the transaction.
I am indeed sorry ProActiv didn't help your daughter. Acne comes at a time when teens are vulnerable and very sensitive about their looks.
Can a dermatologist help her. I know how hard acne is to deal with...don't ask how I know.
If the dermatologist CAN help her, I hope you would see fit to take her.
If you haven't already done so, please read their terms for cancelling your "auto-shipments."

"VERY hard to miss"? Not at all. The devil is in the details: that very fine print shows after three clicks in when trying to make a simple product purchase. I buy things online all the time and this has never happened to me. Few people have time to read pages and pages of promos when they make a simple purchase. Proactiv clearly banks on that.
It is not fair and takes advantage of customers who are in a hurry. Proactiv is a scam! It also did nothing for my teenage daughter's acne.

But that is NOT my problem.
I have ordered Proactiv for YEARS. For me, my daughters and two grandchildren. They had one awesome TV promo and I called immediatly to ask for them to go ahead and charge the dollar hold, because in TWO hours my money would be in the bank. The CS was so obnoxious, saying NO! WE DO NOT HAVE THAT MANY IN STOCK TO HOLD FOR YOU! TWO HOURS. For a loyal customer? Who bought not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 separate kits every two months! I told him to look at my customer history! I said I am getting the money IN TWO HOURS! But no. You know what he told me to do? To go beg from some stranger (I just moved to a new area) for their credit card? From an "ESTABLISHED" company??? I WILL NEVER use Proactive again. I spent so much money but I was not valued to hold an prder for 2 lousy hours after spending THOUSANDS for over TEN YEARS!
