Prodigy Portofolio Management SCAM, lawsuit, fake debt Newport, CA Nationwide

Woman calling from number w/ hometown area code and left voicemail saying they are looking to serve me papers, and to call back 800 number and reference case number XYZ. 

I call 800 number back because there had to be some sort of mix-up, an agressive guy answered, threatening me with my own PII (personal identifiable information), saying they are looking to sue me for a non-existing debt from ten years ago.  Naturally, I check my credit report.  Nothing.  I then call the bank.  Nothing there.

I then call the 800 number back, telling them, sorry... must have the wrong gal, and they were persistant, saying just wait for your papers...just wait for your papers.  I have a background in IT, and work with privacy/security teams, so on that call, I tried to gather as much information I could on THEM. 

The company attached to the 800 number claims to be "Pacific Allied Partners" and they are just a company facilitating litagation on behalf of "Prodigy investments."  Unfortunently, the guy (who is "employed" by Pacific Allied Partners) gave me his email address to send 'anything I have disputing my claim' - odd, the email address was to a Prodigy-PM domain name.

This company also called my friends, family memebers...etc.  My friends and family forwarded me the voicemails, and the number when you call back is from all over the country and goes directly to a voicemail box.  Lawyers said everything they are doing is illegal at this point.  So, if it were legit, they would be violating major laws!

The website attached to the domain is just one page, DIY website, and the phone numbers associated with it are not legit.  One of the numbers is inactive, the other brought me to a nice young gal, apologizing and annoyed she is getting all these calls. 

I then call the website company who the domain was opened with... it was attached to rserrato37@gmail.com, not Prodigy, not Pacific Allied Partners.  Then I checked the SOS within Califorina, and there was nothing registered with either company.  There was a "Allied Pacific Partners LLC" which address leads to a personal home.  I ran the domain owner address, and the address brought me to a corporate company outside of Boston, which I am familiar with.   Like any legit business, they had a nice website, a nice helpdesk person, and had no idea what I was talking about.  I gave them the scoop and they were looking into it. 

At this point, I was annoyed and knew this was a scam so I called the Scammer 800 number back.  A young lady answered, and I explained to her "I think you might be a part of a scam" - at this point, I wasn't accusing her of anything, but accusing Prodigy, the company she 'worked' for being they are fake.  Unlike most young receptionists, who would have forwarded me to a customer service person, etc...she started freaking out, yelling at me, and forwarded me to... THE ONE GUY I was working with before!  I didn't have to provide my case number, or wait on hold, etc.  I blocked my number when I called and within seconds of being transfered, without providing my information, the guy had my information pulled up already. 

So, then I explained it all to the guy, starting calling his bluff etc, he said I could settle my debt for an amount.  I asked him to resend the mysterious letters I should have been legally recieving, starting preaching legal language, statue of limitations...etc.  I asked him flat out, WHO would these letters be coming from, Pacific Allied Partners or Prodigy?  Who would be showing up to a so-called court hearing, Pacific Allied Partners or Prodigy?  Would would even run a payment?  Pacific Allied Partners or Prodigy?  (He of course said he could take the payment).  He tripped up on all his answers and I could hear his nervousness.  I wished him the best of luck, told him I hope he feels good about his life decisions and hung out...called the FCC. 

This is a scam.  Check your credit report.  Block such numbers.  Post on social media about such scams.  Change your passwords.
