Providian AKA Emerge Financial ripoff dishonest rude and nasty Atlanta Georgia

I used this credit card to start my own business. I bought a computer and some tools that I needed. I got to the limit and cancelled thinking I could pay it off, almost like a loan.
Boy was I wrong they sold my account and now my balance is almost 3 times what I originaaly spent. They don't respond to letters, are very nasty to me and my wife and something needs to be done. If I could talk to someone I would pay my original balance, but as of now they won't get a cent.
