I have been ordering junk from PCH and playing their games daily since 1976 I mean daily and not once in all those years have I ever won a single thing.  But what has happened is I have lost a lot of money returning items that are worthless junk that I had to pay return postage on.

This company is driving me crazy, I am now addicted to having to enter evrey single day it is making me ill.  I have turned into a PCH junky and do not know how to get out of it.

I am an author so I am on the computer every day writing and looking things up so it is very hard not to run across something to do with PCH.  Each time I see the letters PCH it is like a spell comes over me, I have to do something, I have to play because maybe this time I will be a winner.  OMG

I want out of this nightmare but every where I look, on TV, online, every where PCH is there making promises they cannot keep to people like me.

Truly, I think they go to far and it destroys people, they become addicted to the offers to win millions but in reality they will win nothing it is something like over a billion to one chance of winning.  It is crazy!!!

I know the odds are not even what they say they are simply because I have been playing every day since, as I mentioned, 1976 and never won a single thing, not even a $1.00.

It makes me obsessed and feel like I have to play now all the time every time I see PCH.  I should have won something after all those years.

I think someone really needs to investigate PCH and see where all the money is going, who really is getting all that money.  No one I know, nor any one they know, so who is getting it?

Just wondering if any one else out there is feeling the same?

Don't you think I have tried

Easier said than done my friend.  It is nothing like gambling you have to get in your car and drive there.

I have to work on my computer, all my notes and docs are stored on the computer so the days of typing the book are over. As for my house, I am a fanad it is always clean so there is nothing to do here.

The point that I am trying to get across is that I think they have some hipnotic thingie going on that makes you think you will some day be a winner so you keep going back for more.  The wording, the way they advertise "Win $5,000.00 a week for life".  And even if you block them still on the side panels of your screen they are on other advertised space so you cannot get away from them.

Like say you inquire about some life insurance what the hell shows up as an advertisement on that screen for the insurance company, good old PCH.  Yikes it makes me pissed off.

What really are the odds of winning try and figure it out, if a person plays and enters every day for 37 years what really are the odds of winning it sure isn't one billion to one.  Do you know how many days are in 37 years? Do the math.  They are liars.

So, I wrote to them and asked them why they do not have a drawing just for people who have been suporting them and been ordering for 30 years or longer.  They wrote back and said " We are very please that you have ordered and played our games for over 30 years, but it just wouldn't be fair for those who enter now to win, for PCH to have a special drawing for customers that have ordered and played for over 30 years.

I say what the hecky we are the ones who kept PCH alive for all these yesars why not show some respect.....lol.

But no instead they can give some person who never bought a thing or played a game except one time in their life and they win, millions of dollars they call that fair, come on.

Just as I was about to respond to your rebuttal a stinking PCH thing popped up on my screen.  I bypassed it to answer you but, now I wonder if that would have been my one and only chance.....lol

It's statements like "Don't forfet your chance to win" or "you failed to respond and now you lost your chance to win", or "only one more step and you could be our next winner", or "Someone in your area is a positve winner"  who, where are they, they give my zip code but no name.  Or they say " someone with your initials is deffently the winner of this round and they give my zip code.  That kind of poooooooie takes me off the edge.  It is almost like harrassment like they are trying to drive you crazy. OMG

Okay I vented now I am fine, all better, no worries.....lol

Its your Crack...

I can understand HOW this addiction happends. As a resident of the beutiful state of Nevada, I like many residents who live here, have learned that there is NO WINNER except the casinos. Blow a few dozen paychecks and you get to learn that lesson as your prize. You need to transfer this addiction. Transfer it to something constructive. Everytime you feel the NEED to hop on PCH do something else. Mow the yard, wash the dishes, clean the bathroom. Transfer the energy you would use on PCH and put it into your home. Within a few weeks you shouldnt feel the urge to hop on PCH.

You can start by stepping away from the computer. This is your biggest opportunity to go on PCH. As such, you need to control this interface. I would suggest that you BLOCK PCH from your computer. Put all emails from them into a spam folder. DO EVERYTHING WITHIN YOUR POWER TO AVOID GOING TO PCH. Then like I said you should put the energy into something else. Your getting a endorphin rush from simply THINKING you will win. Once you accept that there ARE NO WINNERS, then the process gets easier. Remind yourself daily that you are stronger then this addiction. Avoid instances of even discussing PCH. Yes I know as an author you have to use the PC for work. But you could transition to a typewriter if you needed to.

First and foremost: Take it one second at a time. This addiction while not fatal, is eating into your life. You need to be only strong enough to avoid going on PCH ONCE. Then give yourself a hand. Congradulate yourself. Go treat yourself to a lunch. Then, avoid it again!! The more you do this, the better the outcome.
