I work at the London School of Modelling, and I would like to respond to the post on this website.

The London School of modelling is NOT a rip off.  It offers fun, thrilling and informative model boot camps where students come for 1 or 2 days to learn the ropes about the modelling industry. No one is ever promised work, everyone is made aware of the pitfalls and competitive nature of the modelling world and no one is obliged to purchase a photographic portfolio ever.  

Furthermore the photographs taken at the London School of Modelling are all taken by fully qualified, experienced photographers who have all worked as freelance photographers in fashion and media.

No photographers who work at LSM are "student photographers".  All photographers hired by LSM have to undergo trail days and have to have a portfolio of past work in order for the management to even consider offering them work.   The LSM management go to extreme lenghts to ensure that the photographs taken of the students are of a very high standard.  They do this by hiring only the very best experienced photographers, makeup artists, model coaches and stylists who know what they are doing.  The studio is designed so that it offers varied and exciting background sets, both inside and outside, to give the photographs a magazine look and style. They do not just shoot against a white wall, they have built interesting and unual studio sets to create beautiful photograhs.   Many models have used these photographs to secure modelling work with high street brands and have been accepted by agencies. 

Every single model who attends LSM gets a one to one session with our photograhers.  Everyone gets at least 4 different shoots with professional makeup, hair styling, fashion styling and model coaching to suit the individuals needs. 

Once again, no one is EVER guaranteed modelling work and no one is obliged to purchase photographs. There is absolutely no obligation whatsoever.

Clients are offered packages at various levels to suit any budget and if they choose not to purchase photographs then that is fine, they can leave having enjoyed a thrilling and exciting day in a stunning studio enviroment.

Hi Debbie & Charlotte,

Just checking in.  I'm back at work (school) now after a busy summer of modelling!  After the boot camp weekend, I've had a few jobs modelling for photographers, and I've been on a video shoot for Xtra-factor!  Boot camp just gave me loads more confidence to go out there and try my best, and to take opportunities that come my way - I feel I could walk in to any shoot now and have the confidence to 'pull it off'!!!    Thank you so much to you and your team, its given me the confidence boost I wanted - I enjoy modelling even more now.

I'm on starnow, modelmayhem and facebook, after taking your advise, and this is helping me secure some jobs; im looking forward to securing more professional jobs now...

I had such a fantastic time at London School of Modelling. It was such a great experience and all the staff are so lovely. Dear Charlotte and LSM,

I would like to thank you and the rest of the school for the input and effort that you gave us on the bootcamp. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time and for 2 days learnt a whole lot of valuable information about the industry. It was intense but that is what is needed in preparation for this line of work. All the tips and hands on experience was second to none and I left the school feeling more direct about the next steps to take in my career. I felt comfortable to ask anyone questions and learnt what works better for me. All in all a definite bonus to have the LSM behind me now and the reassurement of your support, keep it going your an inspiration to any model starting out!

Being appart of the london school of modelling boot camp was really amazing and i had a great time. the best bit was trying on the amazing clothes and makeup
