I received an email from my bank saying that my automatic bill-pay service had been suspended due to my account being overdrawn. I found this insane, simply because I had only used this new bank on one or two occasions and I had never enrolled for an automatic bill-pay service and I knew that I had not overdrawn my account. Being very busy with school and the holiday season, it took me a while to get around to calling my bank to get the scoop on what in the world had happened. Upon my representative's investigation, I was told that a company, Pureland Madison (though upon researching the company online proved handy in uncovering other names they use), had actually taken money from my account, leaving it in a negative balance. For one, I had never even heard of the company or the website and I had not used my card for anything obscure online other than a few transactions that I confirmed with my bank's representative. Simply put, I do not know how this company acquired my credit/debit card information and I am disturbed that I was basically ripped-off from some obscure company when I have only used my card to do business with USPS. My bank is doing an investigation into this company and they are attempting to do a reverse transaction or some type of maneuver to be able to get the money they took back into my account. I visited the website Pureland Madison uses to sell products, www.ethnobotanicals.com, and I have not ever used this company nor have I received any products in the mail from a so-called transaction or 'bill-pay' service, I am still somewhat confused on that part. I will post more information once my bank completes their investigation (1-2 days). Since I had waited around to contact my bank, I almost missed the time limit in which to deposit money to get it out of the negative balance that it was in and  keep my account opened, which is dire for me because I depend upon them for my Pay Pal, Google Ad Sense, and other online services in which I use to earn money. This company is a sham and their acquisition of my credit/debit card number and information is beyond me. I read other reviews stating that this company sells credit card information to other companies, have done similar things to other people as they did for me. I wish there were ways you could input companies to block while in your bank's online account because I would add many, this being one of them. This is truly scary, especially with a brand-new card!
