i signed up for quibids after reading an advertisement on my homepage yahoo advertising pennies on the dollar for great products. i mean they lay it on thick making you think you are gonna be getting great deals like never before. what a lie and a scam they are for presenting themselves that way. im 50 bux in the hole and won a 25 gift card from applebees. wow a great deal huh? this site is so crooked that ive not only filed a complaint with the bbb but im also putting a dispute in with my bank. i called quibids and told them to keep the applebees card because i expect a full refund for my approximately 52 bux. i will not stop till i get it either, i will be glad to lead the charge of closing this scam of a site down. this is not even a auction house, its a gambling site at best and not a good one. you pay 60 cents for a bid. so that means every bid  dollar equals equals 60 dollars for quibids on their 1 cent auction. so an item they say sold for 10 dollars actually sold for 600 dollars because thats what they took in aka the sales price. i mean this is so bad i cant believe they are already not shut down. even on their own website they say walmart profit margin is 3.5 percent and theres is up to 10 percent. so they are essentially saying their profit margin is almost 3 times that of the worlds largest retailer. take my advice and tell your friend do not participate on this site or you will loose money and be upset like me. i know im going to be the winner in the long run though because their days will be numbered.

Different business model

I'm sorry you had a negative experience.  Auctions of this format may not be for you and that's ok.  I can assure you we do not lie and are not a scam.  We try to be as transparent as possible and tell consumers from the very beginning about our pricing structure - $0.60/bid, as well as laying everything out in our Terms & Conditions.  We operate on a different business model.  Customers win great deals every single day on our site.  Those who do not win, they can use the Buy it Now feature to ensure not taking a loss.

We are not a gambling site because every auction is customer driven.  It takes skill and strategy to participate on our site.  As far as the revenue made on each product, you also have to take into account the number of voucher bids and Buy it Nows that are used in every auction.  It varies for each auction.

Always feel free to contact our support.
