I applied for a bartending job that I saw on craigslist with a compant names " Dining Diamond" They supposedly are an event company where they bring in their own bartenders, servers, djs, ect. They called me to tell me they saw my resume and would like to schedule a phone interview next week. The following week they called me for the phone interview, asking me some questions about my previous jobs and a few bartedning questions about how to make different drinks ect. At the end of the conversation they told me that i passed the frst interview and the hiring manager will follow up with me in a week or so. After a week, I get a phone called from David Talmid" the senior manager, who tells me congratulations i got the bartending position, he goes in to talk about the pay, and structure of the events, ect and then starts talking about taking a bartending course since i am not licenesed. He tells me the course is $129.00 and takes about an hour to complete, i have to send him the certification and my test scores as soon as im done. I asked him if by taking the course, the job will be guarenteed? he told me that the job is only guaranteed if i pass the course, if i fail they cannot guarentee me the position.

I went ahead took the course, passed of course and email me everything he asked for. The course he asked me to take was on www.mixpros.net

A few days after i emailed him everything, he then emailed me back saying "im sorry but after re consideration your expierence does not qualify for the position"

This company is a scam, they must work together or even own mixpros, net and are scamming people by telling them about these job positions and that they must take this course to get the job which you NEVER get becuase it's a fake company!!!!

PLEASE watch out for this company.

I went ahead and reported them to my bank, so i did recieve a full refund but it was still a waste of time and a shitty thing to go through!

This definitely sounds like a scam... there is no job, just them getting the $129 for 'training'...bartending has always been one of those jobs where you learn as you go along...never heard of anyone getting a job and making money by paying for training...
