My daughter boarded her horse at Voight Farms for about a year.  We ended up moving her horse to another facility when the barn manager kept lying about the amount of food that she was feeding our horse!!! We basically had to go to the barn everyday to make sure that he was being fed!!!  Otherwise, my daughter would notice that her horse had lost a significant amount of weight!!!  The horses are not offered any water in their stalls and they have dirty pond water to drink from.

Another reason why I moved my daughter's horse is because my daughter was afraid of Jenny Voight.  Jenny is a good trainer but she is overly agressive towards her riders.  My daughter's horse is being taken care of at a barn in Monmouth County where he has plenty of food and clean water.  My daughter's new trainer is very patient with her and we couldn't be happier.  I wish that I had spent some time looking into this barn before we moved our horse there.

Jenny Voight Also Starved My Horse!

AUTHOR: Starved Horse - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, January 18, 2016

I have known Jenny Voight since I was a teenager.  I boarded my horse at Voight Farms for approximately 2 years until I discovered that Gracie was emaniciated.  I moved to the West Coast and decided that my horse was too old to be moved cross country.  Jenny Voight assured me that Gracie would be well taken care of.  I paid my board on time or in advance for the entire time that Gracie was boarded there.  I even paid extra for "additional" grain.  I would touch base with Jenny occasionally and she said that Gracie was doing "GREAT".  I didn't find out the truth until a local rescue group came to take pictures of Gracie.  They found her to be emaciated and she was removed immediately during the first week of Dec. 2012. My board was paid unti the end of December and Voight Farms refused to issue me a refund.  They also refused to issue me a refund for all of the additional grain that I was paying for.

The SPCA investigated Voight Farms and determined that they neglected to care for my horse.  They will pursue charges if they are reported again.  Please do not board your horse at Voight Farms!

Unequivocally Untrue

I don't know what alternate universe you are living in, but we are current borders and clients of Jenny and Voight Farms and have been nothing but satisfied with the care our horse is given and the instruction both my daughter and I have received for the past two years. It is unfortunate and irresponsible of anyone to use an anonymous forum to impune someone and their business with what appears to be fabricated photos and pure conjecture. If you were unhappy you did the responsible thing by leaving. No one put a gun to your head and made you stay. Chances are you were making everyone else unhappy at the farm too. That being said, my daughter is nine years old and does not find Jenny agressive or intimidating. She expects her students to pay attention and try their best so they learn and are safe. She is an instructor, not a babysitter. Also, her students are successful and consistantly champions. Maybe the problem lies with your daughter. As for the allegations of mismanaged care, that has not been our experience. Our horse put on weight at Voight Farms and always has food. There is hay in the field daily, grass for grazing and they are fed twice daily. There are no neglected horses or animals on that property. The farm is family owned and run, and there is always someone on the property. One would be hard pressed to find a harder working individual than Mr. Voight, at seventy-five years old I might add. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, some people are just ignorant, misinformed and have their own agenda to further. This is clearly the case here and I say Good Riddence.

Response To "Jenny Voight Voight Farms I removed my daughter's horse due to neglect South Brunswick New Jersey"

To Whom It May Concern,

Firstly, the "Jenny Voight Voight Farms I removed my daughter's horse due to neglect South Brunswick New Jersey" article was written and published by a disgruntled former boarder who is no longer present at "Voight Farms".

Secondly, the horse shown in the article photos is a strange horse which has never been boarded at "Voight Farms", nor is the property depicted in the photo that of "Voight Farms".

Finally, Jenny Voight is an awesome trainer and person.  Her students regularly compete in national, as well as 4H events.  Thank you.

Respectfully,

I always believe that a picture is worth a thousand words!!!  This is a picture of my daughter's horse after we came back from our three week vacation.  I was assured by Jenny Voight that our horse would be fine. Boy was I wrong!!!
