Ranbaxy's generic Atenolol is only one of many drugs made in India and of such poor quality that I had to go back to my previous manufacturer. After investigation I discovered that on January 25, 2012 the Department of Justice filed an injunction against them for deviations from good manufacturing practices and data integrity problems at numerous facilities. Not all generic drugs are created equally. This company is producing inferior medications and should not be allowed to supply US pharmacies.
