We applied for a home loan in Feb. 2011 with Ranlife and our credit score was 685. They gave us a per-approval letter for $300,000 on April 13, 2011. We put $1000 down on a house and were supposed to close in 30 days. They continued to pull our credit report monthly from Feb-May 2011 and our score went from 685 to 595. We needed a 620 to get the VA loan. The last week of May they told us they could not fund our loan because our score was to low. We lost our $1000 deposit because the loan was not funded on time. We can not get a loan for two years now because of all the inquires on the report and the low score.

I did not drop my credit score down. It was 685 when I applied for the loan. It was lowered by Ran Life because they pulled the credit MONTHLY from Feb-May. They should know better than to do that. I only needed a 620 score to get a VA loan which they approved me for. There was no reason for them to continue to pull my score and lower it to 595.

your very poor credit score. What did you do to drop your score below the minimum required?
You're probably lucky, sounds like you can't handle credit.
